What Students Say

Likes

Good college environment.It helps you enhance your intrests in any aspects.One may find good friends.
Noise free campus.No noise pollution from traffic.
As the university is located in the outskirts of basar village at the Telangana-Maharastra border students find no noise pollution.

Dislikes

Food is not upto the mark.It is neither tastier nor helathier.
Faculty are always insufficient.Students suffer during the peak exam times.
Life would be hell at RGUKT if one doesn't find good friends as you have no access to the outside world.

Course Curriculum Overview

No stdudent is allowed to choose their branch in b-tech.Branches are alloted to students based on their PUC(inter) CGPA.No real world applications are thought.syllabus will not be finished in time that makes students to stress over exams.

COMPANIES Wipro, Accenture,TATA steel,Gridlex,ORC engineering private limited,navayuga engineering company,Moschip technologies,Ceremorphic,these are the various companies in which our seniors got placed into.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester that is from 3rd year of integrated btech course.Companies like Wipro,Accenture,TATA steel,vassar labs,ceremorphic pvt ltd,Moschip tech,Critical river tech visit our campus to conduct placement drives.500 students got placed till date.

Fees and Financial Aid

every year one must pay around 45 to 50 thousand INR.If you avail any scholarships you need not pay. Additionally one must pay 500/- per each semester to attend for te examinations.Intially during the time of admssion 4500/- should be paid for all examinations.One has to pay additional charges if any equipment in the lab is broken by them.

Campus Life

TECH fests will be conducted for every 3 yearsin our 6 year integrated course. Every festival will be celebrated.Central library consists of various academic related books and competitve books too and Novels also.Sports will be conducted inter-branch competitions and intra-branch competitions.There are various committees in the campus to look after different types of grivances. RGUKT hub is the portal available for all the students to check any sort of information

Admission

I've attempted polycet entrance test through which I've got into RGUKT Basar.During COVID times admissions into RGUKT Basar were through 10th CGPA in 2020,but in 2021 it was through polycet examination.

Faculty

There are no permanent faculty at RGUKT basar. Most of them are contract-based workers.They doesn't caree about stduent's all round development.They conduct 3 monthly tests per a semester which also includes lab internals and externals too.One can easily attempt these tests if well prepared.

Life of an graduating person

Likes

Teaching was very good as compared to other colleges and faculty members have 8+ years and upto 20+years teaching experience and totally digital teaching method through smart board with PDFs and PPT's and the infrastructure was very good.
College is totally 7 blocks with a spacious ground and greenery around the college sand there is also campus hostel and bus facility available and learning facilities also very good with well furnished labs .
The curriculum is also better for professional and personal development and the placements services are very supportive for career advancement

Dislikes

The things I disliked are the timings of gates closing in morning session and there is no chance of going outside in the lunch hour .
Sometimes faculty doesn't explain some topics they will skip the topics to sit simply in the classroom with teaching
The security guards are very strict and they directly take id cards of students if they misbehave anything .

Placement Experience:

3-2 semester students will become eligible for campus placements and the companies visited are tech Mahindra, cognizant ,cap gemini, zentek, tcs, etc some of the top most companies also visited our college for placements and so many students have been placed in the companies with a good package there is almost 78% of students are getting placements in this college

NIAT - where learning and growing is fun

Likes

The teaching style and focus on practicals
More emphasis is given on coding and attending hackathons
Mentors and their constant support In building projects

Dislikes

The strict rules and pressure is real and can be frustrating sometimes
The infrastructure can be a bit better, like the building and space for games
There's very less extra curricular activities

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Building Skills Beyond the Classroom

Likes

The coding culture is the best thing about NIAT. There are very frequent coding competitions that makes students actually learn things and improve their skills.
The faculty members are very knowledgable and supportive. They are also very friendly and helps everyone when in doubt.
The curriculum is totally updated and new. The use of latest technology and AI is very much focused on. Also provide internships from 1st year itself

Dislikes

The strict rules are a bit too much. The pressure is real and becomes difficult to deal with soetimes
There are hardly any cultural activities or programs. All focus is given on coding and tech related programs.
Its still new and no batch has graduated yet so its kind of difficult to record the placement rate

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Remembering College Valuble Insights Feels so memorable being a final year student.

Likes

As i joined into marri laxman reddy institute ,The campus is in a village bakcground it feels so nice to live over their .We do have several sports commisions in our college.
Our college provides sports facility and The campus was so hugee ,The infrastructure is very useful(i am talking about digital teaching lab equipments and all)
The teachers were so friendly with the students and the college has a perfect strcture category for every department .

Dislikes

The teachers were so nice but the college and teachers doesnt support student to enhace the student personal growth.The teachers were take the class by learning the ppt without any conceptutal representing
The infrastructure is good but thier is no maintainance in the college,Campus feels huge but it degradss interms of maintainance and enhance the campus intemrs of neatness .it feels so that after we return back from the holidays
Most importantly,the canteen food is worst.My friend face an incident that he got a dead frog in the manchurian rice.And the food is most coastly maintains low quality

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals,meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Likes

Things I liked they won't charge if they put any event,annual day, they will only charge for farewell that's common l thing in every college they don't show any biased over girl or boy , they won't restrict if boy and girls sits together
They kept more events in 1st year we used to attend them

Dislikes

They stopped keeping events after 2nd year
Lecturers are particular to there subjects like they taught CN subject for 2nd year the same lecture is teaching other subject in next semester
Security watchmens are so strict than clg management

Placement Experience:

Only 4-1 students are eligible for campus placements Name of companies are infosys, concentrix, foundever, teleperfomance, Sutherland,uts etc in that only few members got opportunity to join in that companies. Highest package is 3-4lakhs All the companies which were came to our clg placements are based on call center types only infosys is IT side remaining all companies came us to take for the roles bpo industry voice based roles and non voice based roles My plans after completing the degree to search for the job

Good academics , poor facilities

Yeah our clg faculty is so Supportive and knowledgeable
Our college good environment and good interaction
Our clg has better infrastructure like labs and library

Our college doesn’t conduct events frequently
The major one is placement opportunities should be improved
And also adminsrative process is slow sometimes

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start from final year. A few core companies and bulk hiring companies visit with average packages , overall placement percentage is average . So I plan to build more skills and purse better opportunities after graduation

For the campus placement firstly we need 75% attendance and good behaviour and no remarks on us and we should pay 24000 separately for development of skills ,and next interview is up to us only. We have many mou like sap ,ibm ,inttelipath also

My course is CSE The course is good and the competition is very tuff but if hard work is with uh u can .... I love computer science since my inter so I choosed and if any of the students are interested in CSE I suggest uu to take the CSE

The faculty of the college is quite good
The college is in the middle of city which helps a lot
There is compulsion for 75℅ attendance and the college is open gate

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor.. Buildings and classrooms, benches, and computers used are very old
No sports and other extra-curricular activites and no provision for canteen
Campus is very boring.. Toilets are not clean.. The admin staff is very rude

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

The faculties are highly knowledgeable, understandable and are helpful in studies and they even mentor us in some important aspects.
Course curriculum is perfectly designed to prepare for any competitive exams that a student may be appearing.
There is not much academic pressure on students. They have ample of time to prepare for any competitive exams.

Dislikes

Management by the college and the faculties are not good
There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
