IIIT Pune Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

IIIT pune is a college of national importance, it runs under MHRD.Firstly talking about the brand name that you get being a iiitian.Companies that come here for placements are top notch. Students here are brilliant as all have entered through a tough examination.Bad aspects are , college doesnt yet have a permanent campus , it is under construction. IIIT P runs under ppp mode , hence fee is very high than other government colleges.

Placements start in the 3rd year. We have a good placement record with the highest package going up to 22 LPA and the average ranging from 7.5-9 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Gojek, TCS have offered some good packages to our students. About 80% of students have campus placements every year.

As Pune is home to various multinational companies there are very good chances of getting placement. Also the location of college is quite pleasant as it's temporary campus is surrounded by Greenery. Also it's mentor institute is coep.

The college has a good location that is one of the IT hub of India for which the placement series is good enough compared to other IIITs and the coding atmosphere and coding culture is also good. Again the growth rate of the college is too good.

From what I know, placements are great. There are multiple seniors from 4th-year places in a few of the highest-paying companies in India. The top companies where students got placements are Gojek, Nutanix, Google, and ServiceNow. The average placement is around 13LPA and the highest placement is around 36LPA. Most importantly, the coming batches are increasingly better and the alumni base is only increasing so in the future the placement is only going to increase.

Students become eligible for the placement from the 7th semester. Since IIIT Pune is a new college so very few companies come here but some of them are dream companies of students. Companies : Microsoft, Nutanix, Jio, Rakuten, Gojek, Persistent etc. The highest package is 42 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. Job offers were mainly related to software developer engineer.

4th-year students are eligible for campus placements. The highest package was 40 lakhs and the average package is somewhere 9-10 lakhs. 80% of students get their placements. My plan is to find a good job according to my skills and which I would love to do.

The admission process is based on entrance and merit score. You need to secure atleast 60-70% marks in your higher secondary examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board in science stream also you need to appear in JEE mains and get a good rank there. The admission process will be followed by JOSAA counselling. The application mode is completely online.

In my Sophomore year, the internship rates were 100%, each and everyone was us was placed in a prestigious organisation. I was placed in Entuple Technologies and my stipend was 15000 per month. (I did the internship for a period of 2 months and was offered a PPO) The placement rate is great as well, the stipend hikes up to 22 Lakh p.a.
