GEHU Dehradun Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I chose this course as the curriculum and the structure excited me and i had an urge to make career in it. The faculty members unfortunately are not at all supportive. There are approximately 80 students in a class. The teaching method of the teachers are very old and requires modification. Exams are easy to pass.

From 5-6 semesters students become eligible for placements depending on different courses. 5-10 companies visit the journalism department and almost 50-60 offers are made. The highest package was 20 lakh and the average package is 5 lakh. Almost 70% of students get placed. I am planning on doing post-graduation after this.

In 6th semester end students are eligible for campus placements but as I said there are no placements for our course that is BJMC. Some teacher may help child personally but on campus, there are no such placements till now.

I chose this university because it was close to my hometown and I changed my stream as well, I was a science student and then opted for Journalism and Mass communication. My Marks in 12th was one of the factor and also this university provide quota for Uttarakhand students which made it budget friendly.
