Students from different streams have different opinions regarding the experience of placements at Graphic Era Hill University (GEHU). Manisha Rautela, a BBA (General) student, chose the university for its early placements, starting from the 5th semester onward. She was happy with the placement system of the college and said that the highest package offered was 80 LPA, which she considered a big deal for candidates who aspire to such an opportunity.
Harshit Kapil, a student doing a BBA in E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, was also quite satisfied with the university placements because the majority of students are offered placements. On the downside, the lowest BBA package offered was around 5 LPA, the average was rated at around 7 to 8 LPA with plenty of top organizations coming to campus.
On the contrary, Ajay Singh, a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering student, doubted the placement experience. According to him, while some companies offered very attractive packages of 56 LPA from De Shaw, some others belonging to the mass-hire segment were offering pretty low packages of 3 LPA to 4 LPA. He put the estimate for the placement percentage at 40%-45%, hoping that he would get a very good payoff from some good company.
Dharamveer Gurung, who was pursuing BJMC; appreciated the support provided by the university for placements that begin from the 5th semester onward. He shared that for mass communication students, the highest package stood at 16 LPA with an average of 4 LPA. He wishes to be a journalist after graduation.
