IIIT Vadodara Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I read about IIITV on Quora. I found that IIITV is giving one of the best placements among all IIITs.I had already decided that I dont want to sacrifice branch just for IIT tag. It also has one of the finest coding culture.Other than studies, the seniors are just way better than any of Tier-1 institute. Even the cultural clubs are wonderful. And also the mess food is good enough to enjoy it.

IIIT Vadodara is an ‘Institute of National Importance’. This is a tag for which I had compromise certain facilities and take admission here. This Institute is specialized in Information Technology so coding culture is awesome. Its placement is awesome and much better than many NITs (Highest Package - 36LPA, Average Package - 11LPA & Lowest Package - 6LPA with 100% placement). Many big companies like Amazon, Adobe, Mathswork etc. visited here. It offers only CSE & IT courses so it was a good choice for me because I aspire for computer branch.

The college has a temporary campus due to which there are many problems faced by students.

I wanted to enroll into Computer Science Discipline and this was the best I was getting based on the marks I had scored in JEE. Also, the college is situated in Gandhinagar which is the capital city of Gujarat. Gujarat is considered to be a pretty peaceful state plus the living conditions there are pretty good as well so my parents were comfortable in sending me there

The college was situated in Gujarat and Gujarat seemed to provide very good educational facilities at that time. Also it was a national college so it made sense to join IIITV. It was a very new college but still promising

They could get better in their hostel and college gap which is in kms and timing could be good a student cant handle the pressure of 10 hours study every day in college and positive remarks are placements.

College and hostel are separated this is negative point for college. All students have to travel daily to attend college. But good part is college provide transportation services to students. Fees is bit high but placements are good and most of students got the placement in good company.

At last I would like to say that overall our college is good. But there is a negative remark that we do not have our permanent campus instead our college is done at Government Engineering College which is in Gandhinagar.

Hostel is bit far from college. So students have to travel daily from hostel to college. But good thing is college have their transportation vehicles. So no need of worry they will arrange everything as per curriculum. Mess is situated both in college and hostel as well.

Positive :1. Nice placement record 2. National institute 3. Great coding culture 4. Students are from all over India so nice cultural mixing is observable. Negative:1. the current hostel is far from the main city. 2. 75 percent attendance is compulsory 3. Institute has a temporary campus
