28 Aug, 2025 GATE 2026 Registration has started for ME/ MTech/ PhD Admission 2026-27. Aspirants can apply online @gate2026.iitg.ac.in upto Sep 28, 2025 (without late fee) and Oct 9, 2025 (with late fee). Further, GATE 2026 Exam will be conducted on Feb 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2026. IIIT Vadodara is an Engineering institute established under the Public Private Partnership Government of India. It is popular for its 4-year flagship B.Tech program. Admissions for the UG, PG, and Ph.D programs are conducted through all India Entrance examinations and counseling rounds organized by various agencies. Valid JEE Main scores are considered for B.Tech admissions followed by seat allotments through JoSAA counseling organized by CSAB. IIIT Vadodara B.Tech Admission 2025
At IIIT Vadodara, B.Tech is the flagship program, which is available in two different specializations: Computer & Science Engineering and Information Technology. For admission to this program, students need to fulfill the following criteria:
- Candidates must have passed a 10+ 2 level examination from a recognized board with at least 75% marks. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry should be included as compulsory subjects.
- Candidates must appear for the JEE Main Session I or II examination and have a valid JEE Score. Their performance determines their selection for the B.Tech program.
- Register for the JoSAA Counseling with the college & course preference at the JoSAA official website.
- Based on the JEE Main Score, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) invites candidates for JoSAA counseling based on individual merit and locked college preferences.

IIIT Vadodara provides M.Tech programs in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. To get admitted into IIIT Vadodara, students will have to fulfill the following eligibility and selection criteria:
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Science with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

IIIT Vadodara recently launched its 3-year MCA program in 2025 with only one specialization. With INR 2,93,220 per year fees, the admission to this program requires the students to meet the following criteria:
- Students must have 60% or 6.5 CGPA in B.E./B. Tech in Engineering or any UG degree with compulsory Maths/Statistics.
- With a valid NIMCET Score, students will be considered for the selections and seat allotment.
- SPOT admissions can also be conducted after the conclusion of the NIMCET admission against the vacant seats.

IIIT Vadodara Ph.D Admission 2025
IIIT Vadodara offers Ph.D programs in Computer & Science Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Science & Maths, & Humanities. At an annual fee of INR 85,840, programs are available in both part-time and full-time modes. The application and admission process is described below:
- Candidates must have an M.Tech/M.E in a relevant discipline or MCA/M.Sc in Applied Mathematics with a minimum of 60% or 6 CPI to be eligible for admission.
- Students with B.E/B.Tech/BS with 80% or 8.0 CPI are also termed as eligible
- M.Sc/MA/M. Phil, with at least 60% or 6 CPI, can also apply
- Selection is primarily based on a written exam followed by a personal interview round. However, students with a valid score in GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET/UGC-JRF will be have more preference.
- The final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the exam and interview.
- The Institute provides financial assistance of INR 37,000 per month for the first two years and INR 42,000 per month for the next 3 years. It is applicable for Ph.D full-time students.
