I like college faculty because excellent bond between students and teachers.

Likes

The central Library I liked the most because it was too big and well maintained infrastructure above other universities

Dislikes

The classrooms needs some improvement. As we are an IT student so a fast wifi available everywhere and also charging ports in the classrooms

For a student to be eligible to sit for placements in Amity University, they have to score a CGPA above 6. The average package here is 500000 approx and the highest package in BCA was 1100000. Companies like Accenture, HCL, TCS, and much more reputated came.

Likes

Campus is next level luxurious and maintained
Job placement is good bye the college management

Dislikes

Quite expensive than other colleges and universities

Bca is a 3 years course. I choose this course for better job opportunities and in High Secondary education I have computer science so I have quite knowledge from previously for that reason I choose bca course

Navigating BCA at Amity University Kolkata

Likes

Campus is very good and big. It also has a football turf
Amity held every year a new fest and Amity's most famous fest is Amiphoria

Dislikes

Outside gate environment every one smokes even girls too
For hostellers there are many restrictions

Placement Experience:

To be honest Amity University Kolkata gives Placement very well. Many companies came this year and very good companies like BT, TCS, Cognizant etc. Amity University Kolkata has a good placement cell. I also got placed in British Telecom company.

Boring Life at the University

Likes

Liked the Infrastructure , Garden , parking , cafeteria
Washroom are always neat and clean, even class rooms are well.

Dislikes

Maximum Faculties don't know the teaching .

Course Curriculum Overview:

They don't prepare students related to the particular course. They only provide the basic knowledge. Some faculties provide the best resolution related to the course but some don't even. Practical knowledge related to the particular course is a must. The frequency and timings of exams are like in every 5-6 months and within 20 days it ends.

Likes

The best thing of this college is having good faculty and they way the explsin the things is to good
Also the environment of this college is to good.. There is no trafficking in this campus also no ragging

Dislikes

The mess food for the hostel is not good
They should focus Lil bit on technical subject more

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester student whose not having any backlogs are eligible for placements. Many companies such as Oracle, Google, Flipkart, TCS, Valentino, HP, Dell,Amazon, Uber , Microsoft, jp morgan, cognizant has visited till now. 90% percent student get placed every year My plan was to do mca so I did not took placement.

Review of BCA course at Amity University Kolkata

Likes

The professors were kind and helpful, supported us a lot.
The campus and infrastructure was good. All classes has air conditioning.

Dislikes

Labs had very bad specifications computers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects/courses taught were upto the mark but ya the curriculum lacked advanced programming skills. The teaching was fine for the curriculum but i feel it lacked much coding skills. Exams were conducted in monthly basis and final exam was a bit tough and conducted after 4 months into each semester.

Likes

Good facilities in every department great learning experience and academics teachers are good
Great sports facilities and ground also availablity of sports equipments without any charge

Dislikes

Location is not good too many local peoples are there
Few strict rules on fest days like no entry after 2pm even if you are a day scholar

Placement Experience:

Placement is good but only if you haven't get back in any subject and was able to maintain above SGPA of 7 in every semester only then you'll be able to sit in the placement exam otherwise you've to go for off campus placement

From semester, fifth students may become eligible for campus placement Companies like TCS Microsoft visited our campus The highest package is approximately 17 lakhs or 20 lakhs for our course, and average goes like 6 to 8,00,000 Percentage of students getting placement is approximately 70+ My plans are for doing masters after degree

Invititation through mail for the functions
Food and the welcome kit they have provided

Dislikes

They have added a lot of modules in the course which is a lot of time consuming
They should keep sending us an opportunities they're offering like studing outside of India

Course Curriculum Overview:

Amity University is having their portal named "Amigo" where all the course is uploaded and recorded. We have to go through all the lectures and then appear for module exam. The Bad thing about Amity is they don't provide the .edu ID which doesn't help you get the student benefits on the website.
