harshly beautiful yet repectful

the infrastructure is good bigger than most colleges
the washroom however is not so clean many due to being all girls university and hectic schedules

Dislikes

they dont give you time inbetween for meals officially but they give you permision to have food
sometimes they make fuss over attendance but isnt it required in all universities

Faculty:

i think chemistry faculty is the kindest and most respectfull in all faculties in my opinion and there are almost 10 teachers who teaches chemistry in sub parts which leads to greater understanding among students and teachers the exams difficulty depends upon a students knowledge but mostly exams are conducted in a standard way and very strictly

Life in a government university

Likes

The campus is beautiful and safe as it is a women's university. Proper management is there.
The college is best for students who are preparing for government exams.

Dislikes

Faculty is not good. Regular faculty is not there and the available faculties are not really skilled.
Skill enhancement courses are not available.

Faculty:

It varies from department to department. In some department for example psychology, pol sci , the cooperation between students and faculty members is quite good. The faculty of commerce is average. Our HOD is a great person. We don't really like the guest faculties as tgey are never serious about our topics. My course is bachelors in commerce . My specialization is accountancy and finance. Each semester two exams are conducted one is mid em and another one is end sem. Bcom hons is a three year programme. Our mid sem is of 20 marks theory and end sem is 80 marks. There are total 6 semesters. The exams are quite average. Very few students fail each year.

Effective and quality education , provided by our department facilities and they are very punctual in nature and taking each and every class religiously
Administration and head of our University is very loyal and taking consideration of each concerns and work on religiously

Dislikes

Lack of Infrastructure of University buliding.

Faculty:

There are 9 faculties in our political science department of RAMA WOMEN'S UNIVERSITY, BHUBANESWAR. As in my class(batch)there are 62 students. I liked all facilities, they are SHARBANI DASH, ASIA KHATUN,TAPAN KUMAR SETHI,DEVIPRASAD DASH,SUBHASMITA KHUNTIA, SABITA HARICHCHANDAN,JEENA MOHAPATRA,BASANT KUMAR AND MANAS BEHERA. I liked all because whatever they teach me and give me lessons I understand it and able to use it. My best faculty is TAPAN KUMAR SETHI.He is a great teacher.His teaching is excellent as i think that the marginal utility of his teachings will never dimish in my life. So ,He is my best faculty. There are 4 exams which consists 2 internal (mid sem)exams and 2 end semester exams in one year of course.

My Graduation Life

When I entered to college I was totally confused about my classes where and when it will be going on and all but once I came to know about things everything got well. Before that my mother tongue is Telugu and here teachers teach in odia
I studied in English medium school where teachers teach in English sudden change effected my studies and my result got decreased in my 1st semester as the days passed I became comfortable with their teaching. I liked teaching of every single teacher

Dislikes

There was a incident where every single student of a batch came together for postponing of our 4th semester for the reason being a student of Cuttack University due to sun stroke died. Also lots of universities postponed 4th semester examination.
When every single student came together and started fighting for justice our VC didn't respond well and the moment she responded she spoke favour Full to us. But later we didn't get any result. Lots of students came from different places for justice

Faculty:

Students are 44 faculty is only 4 teachers and we don't even have HOD of our department. We have total of 14 core subjects. We study 2 core subjects in our 1st and 2nd semester along with AECC, Ethics, an Elective subject having choices of physics computer in 3rd and 4th semester we read 3 core subjects in each semester along with SECC, Ethics and elective having choices of chemistry and statistics in 5th and 6th semester we have to study 2 core subjects in each semester along with two DSE papers if a student scores more than or equal to 60% in last 3 or 4 semesters then she is eligible to do a project paper otherwise she have to study DSE paper in 6th semester. Our exams are divided as Mid semester with 20 marks and end semester 80 marks we have cgpa system and cbcs pattern of studies.

Fantasy of Independence

Likes

Women security is the primary objective of this university and that's why it's a right place for women to level up their capacity
Faculties are open enough to their students and very involving as well.They take all efforts to get our doubt resolved

Dislikes

Exams are quite frequent and with less interval period.

Faculty:

Generally the course structure consists of 6 semesters of different combinations of subjects attached to your honours paper. Now coming to the behaviour of faculties that's quite decent and not too sharp but attendance issue is still there

Expectations versus reality

Likes

Teaching methods and quality of education is good
Developing infrastructure and exposure provided by the college

Dislikes

Uniform of this University is so outdated and tacky
The main problem is this is a girls college so no opposite gender interaction

Faculty:

The faculty members are quite good with well trained teachings techniques but most of them lack in communication skills. My course was a 3 year problem initially but government extended one year more to all Bachelor programs. So now I have two semesters per year in three years and the last year for research and internship.

The faculty members are seriously very good. They are so humble and will always help you.
The programme are done in a grand way and you have so much chance to explore and enhance your extra curricular activities also . You can participate in the one you like .

Dislikes

You just have to be attentive and should enquire about your things as we don't know when the notices come and go .

Faculty:

The faculty members are seriously interested in enhancing your knowledge. They help you in each and every aspect they can . They'll make you engage in many activities for your benefit only . They motivate you more to approach to something you like. The faculty members are well educated. The education in RD is seriously top notch. They make studies interesting.
