Ramadevi Women’s University (RDWU) is a premier institution in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It offers BA, B.Sc & B.Com courses in various disciplines at UG level and MA, M.Sc & M.Com at PG level. Ramadevi Women's University B.Ed. Admission 2024

The University offers self-financing B.Ed. program in Arts and Science Stream. Candidates who have completed graduation in relevant stream with 55% marks or Candidates who have completed Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech) with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks are eligible to apply for B.Ed. Program.

Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

Ramadevi Women's University UG Admission 2024: BA, B.Sc & B.Com

RDWU offers various UG programs for the duration of 3-year. These programs are available in Honors & General modes. The students have to select one subject as Honors along with compulsory and elective subjects. The minimum eligibility is a pass in 10+2 in the relevant subject. The admission is solely based on the marks in the last qualifying examination.

There is a restriction on the maximum number of students seeking admission in UG courses from outside Odisha. The number of students admitted from outside Odisha to any category will not exceed 5% of the total number of sanctioned seat of the category subject to a maximum of 1% of the total seat for the candidates of a given State/ Union Territory of India.
Only women candidates are eligible to apply.
16.25% of the sanctioned strength will be reserved for SC applicants whereas 22.5% of the sanctioned strength will be reserved for ST applicants.
1% of a total number of seats in each subject will be reserved for PWD/PH (In case of 40% disability).
1% of the sanctioned seats will be reserved for Self/ Children /Wife of Ex-Servicemen.
5% seats will be granted on merit basis for students living in nearby States of Odisha who have studied ODIA as the main subject.
Applicants who have represented the country at International Level in NSS will be given direct admission.

Ramadevi Women's University PG Admission 2024: MA, M.Sc & M.Com

The university offers postgraduate courses in 10 different subjects for the duration of two years. Admission in PG courses is accepted on the basis of marks scored at graduation level and PG Entrance conducted by RDWU. The test will consist 40 MCQs for the duration of one hour. Each question will carry one marks each.

In order to satisfy the eligibility, candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in honors subjects at the graduation level.

22.5% and 16.25% of seats will be reserved for ST & SC categories respectively.

Those who have represented the state during last three years at National level sports will get 10% of marks over and above the aggregate career marks.

Selection Process for PG Courses: Selection is completely based on the score in the entrance followed by marks in academics. Students can check the criteria s tabulated below:

Those students who have passed class X from CBSE board, their final marks will be calculated by multiplying it with 0.95.
The distinction will be considered only if the students have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Ramadevi Women's University M.Phil Admission 2024

RDWU offers M. Phil for the duration of one-year. Admission to this course will be made on the basis of career cum entrance test and viva voce i.e. weightage of 40 % in entrance test + 40% weightage in written test +20 % weightage to viva voce.

Written test will be a qualifying test. The qualifying marks will be 35% of total marks in the written test.
The candidates who have qualified in the National level tests like UGC NET, GATE, SLET, ICHR, etc. are exempted from the entrance test.
For admission under Teachers Quota, an applicant must be a teacher in a recognized college or university within Odisha with at least two years of teaching experience.

Admission:

For my MA degree I applied for CPET exam , and my score was 65.7 which was moderate. I got selected in few colleges but they were distant from my house. In the second slot, I got selected in this university, at first I was disappointed, I saw the parks and joined finally. This university did improve my self-esteem and confidence. My batchmates were every smart and encouraging, they would force me to participate in extracurricular activities, such as debates, speeches, dancing etc. So overall, it was worth it.
