Lil information about wbjee and MAKAUT

Likes

The academic part is pretty good and the college focuses more on our branch as it is new.
I really like the volleyball club as there other players are very much supportive and encourage me to do better.

Dislikes

The college is very far from the town so traveling will be too much.
There is a communication gap as I am from Bihar so sometimes it gets difficult to understand what the other person is trying to say.

Fees and Financial Aid:

So the total fees for BTech is 2,24,000 and the hostel fees is 9000 per semester and there are some minor fees like registration fee, examination fee etc. So the west bengal students has lot of scholarship opportunities and the college will help them in getting it. The campus held lot of competition like hackathon, coding competition etc. which offers money and lot of prizes.

Likes

The infrastructure and the atmosphere is very good.
The environment of hostel is very good and it's well maintained.

Dislikes

This institute fee is way higher than the other government engineering college.
Placements are not good at all , they must take it seriously and took steps to improve it.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure contains a total of Rs 60000 per year. However if you are a West Bengal domicile citizen you will get scholarship worth of 60000 every year . The registration fee for semester exam is Rs.1200

Pros and Cons of MAKAUT,WB

Likes

The supportive nature of all faculty members.
The anti-ragging efforts of the institute.

Dislikes

The positioning of the campus in such a remote area.
Lack of cooperation among departments and other colleagues.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure was more than any other government colleges in West Bengal but still it was very reasonable and besides that we were given opportunities for different scholarships like SVMCM. We also had a placement cell and pretty good placement was given.

Likes

Campus life is too good, there is big playground where we all play cricket, football etc. And There is a nice view of clg from front side.
Faculty is so much friendly, and helpful.

Dislikes

Placement is a downside of this clg, it's not so bad but respectively low.
Mess is not included with hostel fees, so you have to spend separately money for that.

Fees and Financial Aid:

It's a state Government Technical institute so the fees structure is very low compared to many private college's. It's around 25K per semester. If you are from west Bengal you can get Swami Vivekanand scholarship which will give you around 60K per year.
