- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

The placement scenario of NIT Durgapur is quite good. The average package offered last year was around 12 lpa. The average package of the CSE branch is around 21 LPA. so, this college provided a satisfactory package to the students. The highest package offered last year is 70LPA.

- Actually library is good but i hatr to go thwre because it became like a punlic park for lovers and hostels are very good omly for hall 14 and hall 11 and rest are not good funds are not used proprly buildings remained worst but classes are very nic
- Placements are very high .Good companies will give placements in our college like google microsoft , amazon and also flipkart. So tha we can get good packages than other colleges so i love this campus in this way of getting placements with highestpa

Course Curriculum Overview:
It's my favorite course from 12 the class.
Also for the package and placements
1:90 may be,
Ph.D. and Mhc are the qualifications of the faculty.
It's easy to pass the exams.
But one should attend classes at least 75% to write the exam.

Placement Experience:
Very good placement. The highest package 80Lpa. Avg package 14.5 lpa. Cse branch >90% placement. Many go abroad as well to study. Germany and America are pretty common. After the degree will do a job for 2yrs and then MBA

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was deeply interested in computers like how they function and how they operate due to which I chose this department (computer science). The faculty here in this institute is one of the best in India. They are highly trained and well qualified (They are Google scholars they had done their phd from very renowned institutes like the IIT and NIT)they teach us in a way that every topic feel interesting they take theory + lab classes to make sure we practice what is taught in the class. The exams are conducted twice in the semester and the exams aren't that hard to pass even if you have studied and paid attention in class you will surely score well.

Placement Experience:
Placements start from the 6th semester. Interns are also given in college and companies will come to college and give jobs who are eligible for the company and the post. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, blackbucks, etc. came to our college and the highest package is 50 lakhs and the average is 15 lakhs and 82 percent of people got placed. Getting better jobs and fulfilling their dreams.

- A good numbers of girls in mechanical brunch
- best brunch is our college is ECE (Electronics)
- campus life is decent if you have a girlfriend, otherwise it is little bit difficult to survive here

- Attendance criteria (75%), which is very tough to maintain.If your attendance is <75% and >50%, your grade will be deducted by 1.
- Hostel accomodation in last year is very bad, tripple shared room is given.
- In every hall Mess food is very bad, unhealthy
Placement Experience:
From the 7th sem, students can seat for campus placement. Most of the company looks for students with no supply or active backlog with a decent CGPA(>7 or >7.5). Trilogy is one of the companies which visits every year and makes no offer. Microsoft is the dream company of every student who wants to get into tech, Microsoft offered around 51lpa ctc last year. Placement percentage is 80-85%.

- Campus life is good. You get great exposures with the seniors and faculty
- 2 big grounds are there for sports activity
- Placements are good, more than 150+ companies participate in the placement process.
Dislikes
- Attendace criteria,you have to maintain a minimum of 75% attedance otherwise your grade will be deducted.
- Mess food , the menu is great but sometimes the food is not.
- Hostel condition,old hostels are there with negligible renovation
Placement Experience:
For internships At the start of 3rd year, companies come to the college for a summer internship program and one can also apply off campus.
For placements Companies start coming from the very first month of your fourth year.
Highest package(2022-23):70 lakhs.
Average package(2022-23):13.5 lakhs.

- Research building that looks insane in the evening with lights I love that.

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies like Microsoft, John Deere, Bajaj, Reliance, Byju, Adobe, LNT, PWC etc. visit our college for campus placements. The highest package is 57 lakh from Microsoft, average package is 13 lakhs About 80% of students get their campus placement easily.

- Mostly I like nestcafe over there because we can spend most time over there

- Many ragging and old prof and food mostly
- Food was not good completely very sweet and no quantity

Nowadays it's the era of computers and AI-based, machine learning. so I thought to be in touch with modern trends and be up to date and get command of computer languages so I opted cse and coding is a very logical and interesting thing.

- Food and mess should have been better and tasty
- Cleaning should be proper like cutting grasses .
- Nearby accommodation like bus should be easily available

The placement is high. some criteria are there to sit for job placement. All the information is shared by the college dean by mail and all documents and some sgpa should be above 7. DSA questions are asked and exam interviews are taken.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
