- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

- The culture which is all india. We find people coming all around the country
- The campus is very free and green where as the area outside is quite polluted . It feels good inside the campus
Dislikes
- There is a restriction for the first years whole 2 semesters, which is good for anit ragging but its too long period
- The hostels are quite small but the one which is alloted for first and second years is good
- The campus is a bit small compared to the other nits
Placement Experience:
The placement records are quite cool in this campus. The average package of cse goes around 22 lpa and not only that but in the department of mme the placement percentage is around 97 which is very great . Many of the other department students are also getting placed

- Campus is small and compact and all important buildings are located nearby.
- You get much freedom to explore. Pressure not high.
- Clubs and societies gives opportunity to learn a lot.

- Placement situation can be improved a lot.
- Mess food can be improved from the present condition.
- Hostel needs a lot of renovation especially the old ones.
Placement Experience:
Placements are held in the 8th semester. Major recuiters include Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Oracle, PwC, Delloit , EY, Bajaj etc. Highest package is 50 Lakhs and average package is Rs 10 Lakhs. Around 80% students gets placed but depends on market scenario also.

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements in the third year of study. It is to be noted that in third year they can apply only for internships and subsequent pre-placement offers, while in fourth year the option to apply for full-time opportunities becomes available.
Reputed tech companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, NVIDIA, Oracle, Qualcomm, finance companies like JPMC, Wells Fargo, BNY Mellon are some of the companies which offer placements in Computer Science. Many Indian and startup companies also visit our college for placements.
Highest CTC is 51 lpa from Microsoft followed by 40 lpa from Samsung.
In our batch almost 60% students are placed.
My plans after getting the degree is to get a job either in private or public sector.

Placement Experience:
For placement final year students are eligible that is from our 7th semester and for internship it starts form 5th semester .
Various compaines visit campus for freshers such as Microsoft , Wells Fargos , Oracle , JPMC , TCS etc . Package can vary from 4LPA to 55 LPA.

Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for Campus placement in fourth (final) year only . But Students are eligible to apply for On-Campus internship opportunities and get a ppo.
180+ companies visited in our campus last year (Microsoft , Samsung, JP Morgan, Oracle, BPCL, Delloite, PWC, John Deer, TCS etc.) and more than 700 jobs were offered .
Highes package offered is 50 lpa by Microsoft this year, average package is rs 10-12 lpa .
Overall over 80% students are placed in previous year.

Placement Experience:
Placement in a word is good to average. Every year more than 130 companies visits the campus. Campusing stars from end of 6th semester and goes till last semester. Percentage for cs/ece/me is good enough. Check college website for more details

- Very good senior junior relation and guidance regarding career and other aspects.
- Education Quality, Faculty and the various opportunities on-campus.

- Sports facilities could have been better.
- Hostel with single rooms should have been allotted to senior students.
- The location of the college is remote. Nothing much to do outside college.
Placement Experience:
Placements in NIT Durgapur are good. High-paying companies like Microsoft, Wells Fargo, etc do visit on-campus for both internship and full-time roles. 5th and 6th semester students are eligible for summer internship offers on campus. 7th and 8th semester students are eligible for full-time offers. Many companies offer 6 month internships which the college allows by giving students the flexibility of attending classes online. PSUs like BPCL, HPCL, EIL, etc visit on-campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The reason i choose the course was beacuse i have always been a computer fanatic and the cse and a very bright future ahead.
The faculty is very nice and the ration of boys and girls is more the boys side.
All the teachers have a great amount of knowledge in their fields and most of them funds research.
The exams happens manily 3 times a semester. The first is CA for 15 marks , mid sem for 25 marks and end sem for 60 marks.
The exams are not that difficult you attend the lecture or gather your information for elsewhere as teachers encourage us to gather information from not only in classes but by books and other mediums too.

- The infrastructure is really nice. The classrooms are huge and the labs are well equiped.
- The people and the faculty here is very nice and helpful.
- The course curriculum is very industry relevant the new director is trying to raise the placement stats.
Dislikes
- The management can be very unhelpful at times.
- There are far too many restrictions for first year students to avoid getting ragged
- Infrastructure although great is not well maintained. Grasses are not cut on time etc.
Placement Experience:
The student gets eligible after passing the 5th semester as summer internships start. There atleast 100 it companies visit every placement season and 500+ offers were made. The highest package offered was 70LPA to a mechanical branch.
Around 75 percent of students gets placed every season. My plan after doing the degree is to have a corporate job in US.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
