Ishani's view to NITDGP

In my college i.e., NIT Durgapur I got computer science and engineering. There is a good placement record in the CSE Department 50% percent of the faculty of our college passed out from this college only. All faculty are well qualified from renowned institutes we have semester exams twice mid-semester and end-semester and between them there are 3 labs and lab vivas you have to study well to score good marks.

A maximum of the students get their internship in the 3rd year and 2nd year that's less. MS, PWC, Bajaj etc. give internships to students from different branches of b.tech. I have just got to second year so I don't know more about those things.

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies like Microsoft, John Deere, Bajaj, Reliance, Byju, Adobe, LNT, PWC etc. visit our college for campus placements. The highest package is 57 lakh from Microsoft, average package is 13 lakhs About 80% of students get their campus placement easily.

You can get a detailed fee structure of academics on the website of NITdgp there are categories of giving fees and as of now we have to pay a 19K mass fee per semester one can get scholarships like SVMCM, OASIS, OPJPMC and many more. If you are a student from the West Bengal Board you definitely get SVMCM and OASIS.

There are annual and tech fest namely RECSTASY and AAROHAN that happens around March we also have a food fest RECRAVE and ESUMMIT, and an annual cultural fest of international SIPC MACAY named VIRASAT. There is a good stock of books available in the library which mostly are required there is no dress code but students should not go to the academic section in Half pants it's prohibited and go should wear decent clothes appropriate for classes students have co-curricular activities compulsory in the first year there is yoga, cricket, football, table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball, badminton, taekwondo athletics we have almost 30 clubs include tech and cultural.

One has to qualify for jee main exam to study at NIT Durgapur. JEE is usually conducted 2 times in a year- January attempt and April attempt. You need to apply for JEE main from the JEE official website for female students and sc /st /PWD the application fee is 325 and for gen/ gen-ews/obc application fees are 650
