A refundable (interest-free) security deposit of Rs. 20,000 is payable at the time of registration and is returned upon program completion.
An additional refundable hostel security of Rs. 10,000 is applicable for students opting for on-campus accommodation.
Hostel fee shown is for triple-sharing room with common washroom at Bidholi/Kandoli Campus (Rs. 1,83,000 per year).
Hostel is optional and not mandatory.
Technology Fee of Rs. 3,800 per semester is applicable for the first year; subsequent year amounts are communicated separately.

Minimum 55% marks in Class X and Class XII.
B.Tech/BE in Electrical, Electronics, EEE, Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Petroleum Engineering, or Control Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% marks; OR M.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry with minimum 60% marks.
GATE/NET qualified candidates will be preferred during the selection process.

Admission Process

Shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview (conducted online or on-campus).
Merit list is prepared based on academic performance and interview performance.
Selected candidates receive an offer letter and must pay the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) to confirm the seat.

UPES M.Tech Renewable Energy Scholarships 2026

UPES offers a comprehensive range of scholarships for M.Tech Renewable Energy students.
