Doon University Dehradun Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I will probably opt for a corporate sector job like in Amazon . And maybe I'll later give myself time to look for what I really am made for . Money is a priority at first . I will definitely be looking forward to earning good amount of money.

Doon university is reputed institution since it was established in 2005.I preferred this institution over others for my graduation because my sister is alumni of this university and through her I already unlocked all the facilities this university give to their students.I was eligible for the course I applied for, eligibility criteria for BA hons is 10+2 with 50% aggregate for general category and for SC/ST/OBC it is 45% aggregate. For BA(hons) there are 25 seats available and if you cracked the merit list you are eligible to pursue the course you applied for. Merit list of candidates is displayed on the notice-boards and the university's website. I checked mine on university website. Intimation is also sent to the candidates called for admission. The selected students are required to get their admission completed by the dates given in the prospectus. If a candidate fails to complete the admission formalities by the prescribed dates, they will not be admitted in their course. All the information during the admission process has to be filled correctly otherwise admission can get cancelled at the time. All students are required to submit their transfer certificate/migration certificate in original at the time of admission. After submitting all these documents correctly your admission process is completed. Overall the admission process was smooth and satisfying.

We get to know about various organizations . Mock interviews and group discussion are organized by our faculties and we really get to know about how interviews are taken. We get to know about right gestures and expression when we are facing any interview thing and how our tone can express our feelings or messages we want to convey and it's really an important part of healthy communication. My plans after getting the degree is so clear I would do internship and will choose the field I'm interested in .

The placements are good in the college but specifically for language students otherwise for the rest of the courses the placements are not that good.

When It comes to talking about the entire college I would say that The language department is the most active here. Also Placement drives are only held in the department of languages and not in any other departments which is quite unfair according to me. Management here is good.

Doon University situated in foothills of Himalaya and the city Dehouradun Uttarakhand this university Being a state University provide different opportunities for the students who want to pursue their higher studies be it a graduation or post graduation. Most positive remark about the college is that its language placement cell provide where is number of placement opportunities for the student.

My college is note a college it a temple where i get knowledge an it's a land of opportunities. The environment is also good and green. The behaviour of the faculty and the students are also good. It am enjoying a lot during my college days and i will miss my college days when it's over.

The faculty needs improvement, especially, in the Mass Communications department. The placement in Foreign language courses is great. Its like their jobs are almost guaranteed and that too, with some lucrative packages.

IT is good at over all but some time we face some common problems like wifi, electricty, water and cleaness an more the management is little bit slow as if we knook then they lisean unless they think they have no work to do
