Doon university is reputed institution since it was established in 2005.I preferred this institution over others for my graduation because my sister is alumni of this university and through her I already unlocked all the facilities this university give to their students.I was eligible for the course I applied for, eligibility criteria for BA hons is 10+2 with 50% aggregate for general category and for SC/ST/OBC it is 45% aggregate. For BA(hons) there are 25 seats available and if you cracked the merit list you are eligible to pursue the course you applied for. Merit list of candidates is displayed on the notice-boards and the university's website. I checked mine on university website. Intimation is also sent to the candidates called for admission. The selected students are required to get their admission completed by the dates given in the prospectus. If a candidate fails to complete the admission formalities by the prescribed dates, they will not be admitted in their course. All the information during the admission process has to be filled correctly otherwise admission can get cancelled at the time. All students are required to submit their transfer certificate/migration certificate in original at the time of admission. After submitting all these documents correctly your admission process is completed. Overall the admission process was smooth and satisfying.

BA(hons) English is one of the best course in Doon university. The faculty of this department is great and friendly, they help you through the whole process be it in academics or in extracurricular activities. Detailed course curriculum give all the information from admission schedule to career counseling and placement. On official website doonuniversity.ac.in we can find the contact of exam controller incharge and get the information we need about exam. Exams are organized semester wise and internal exams are also taken so that students can be prepared for main semester exams. The methodology faculty takes is of andragogy model in which students have to interact so that there communication skills could be better.

Students are not allowed to take up job while pursuing full time course. After completing course the placement of this university is really good. Doon university has dedicated cell for placements knowns as Central placement cell (CPC) which also prepares students for their main interview by giving seminar, workshops and mock interviews which help students to become professionals. Total percentage of placement is upto 50-60%.Total number of students get placed every year through campus is about 145-155 students, Total number of students Self-placed are about 80-90 and Total number of students placed are about 300-350.The highest salary package goes to 9lpa and average goes to 3lpa .

BA(hons) English fee structure, Tution fee is 10,000 and other fee is 7000 in total for per semester fee is 17000. This institution provide scholarships to economically weak students. Scholarship like:Pandit Mahanand Dangwal Scholarship:3000 for students who have high merit, on means cum merit basis subject to performance appraisal on a year to year basis Doon university students Aid fund(DUSAF) : For the purpose of providing financial assistance and support to the poor students. Fee waiver: 50% fee waiver in tution fee for Uttrakhand SC/ST students. Students are not allowed to take up job while pursuing full time course but faculty of my department helped some of my seniors get internship in their third year internships in content writing and editing with stipend upto 10-12k.

Campus life at Doon university is really exciting and wholesome. Students are from different parts of country coming together interacting with each helping each other. Every Thursday, there is new activity on campus which involves students from all courses communicating with one another. There are events like Literacy events, Sports events, Cultural events. Campus consists of basketball court, Football groud, Badminton Hall, Music room, Dance hall, Snookar room and it consist of four cafeterias with good taste of food. Hostel fees of this institution is, Loding(per semester) :3000, Electricity, Water, Utilities charges(ps) : 1500, Mess caution money(one time-refundable) :2000.
