Ques. Does TANUVAS accept ICAR AIEEA (PG) scores for MVSc (Animal Genetics and Breeding) admission, or is there a separate entrance exam?
Ans. TANUVAS accepts ICAR AIEEA (PG) scores for the 25% ICAR All India Quota seats. For the remaining 75% Tamil Nadu State Quota seats, TANUVAS conducts its own selection process based on academic merit and a university-level entrance examination. Candidates from other states can apply only through the ICAR quota.

Ans. Yes, hostel accommodation is available at PGRIAS, Kattupakkam for MVSc students, subject to availability. Hostel fees are charged separately and are not included in the course fee of Rs. 96,925. Students are advised to confirm hostel availability and current charges directly with the institute at the time of admission.

Ques. What is the difference between the Tamil Nadu State Quota and the ICAR All India Quota for TANUVAS MVSc admissions?
Ans. 75% of MVSc seats at TANUVAS are reserved for Tamil Nadu State Quota candidates, who are selected based on TANUVAS's own merit/entrance process and must be domiciled in Tamil Nadu or have studied in Tamil Nadu. The remaining 25% of seats fall under the ICAR All India Quota, filled through ICAR AIEEA (PG) counselling, and are open to candidates from all states. Other state candidates can apply only through the ICAR quota and cannot claim Tamil Nadu State Quota seats as a matter of right.
