Our faculty members are very professional and good teaching and presentation slides are very nice.
The scholarship opportunities are not great but for financially backward students help is provided to support them.
Yes, the overall experience is good and the college campus is also good and well maintained.

Dislikes

They are quite approachable, yet they restrict a bit in teaching as they see others as competition.
There are no projectors inside the classroom for educational purposes.
Less than 25% of the students know english. rest all you have to deal with is incorrect grammar and wrong spellings.

Life of a mbbs student in Coimbatore Medical College

Likes

College campus is a very large area located in heart of the city, hospital is located in centre of city with abundant out patients
College campus is neat and clean, environment is green. Playground which is almost largest in the tamil nadu, well equipped library with latest books, and auditorium for celebrations
Professors and chiefs teach the subject very well and explain the clinical aspect very clearly

Dislikes

Distance between college and hospital is more than 10 km
During house surgeon period there will be so much work
Rainy season make it difficult to go hospital as there will be more traffic

MBBS is course that is aspired by many of the students in India, it is highly respected profession .Passion towards treating patients made me select mbbs. NMC's new CBME curriculum made it more practical and effective but it ll take time to adopt among students and staffs. University exams are held ever year at end of respective year. Exams are difficult and require lot of preparation to clear it .Practical examination need clinical exposure and pracitcw

I liked biology in my school. So I basically had an interest towards medicine. The cbme curriculum is good and it prepares us to how to approach each cases efficiently. The time duration available for examination is less. So study holidays can be extended.

A journey of 5 years.

Likes

Professors majority were very skilled and had adequate knowledge.
I saw many cases and the patient load is high .
Adequate number of cadavers , lab instruments,large number of specimens were available since it is tertiary hospital.

Dislikes

Distance between college and hospital is 10 km
There is no permission to own vehicles by hostellers and girls have extra restrictions
Poor infrastructure inadequate resting rooms, no canteen

Passion for subject made me choose this course Curriculum is good but teaching methods are poor Unnecessary change in subjects everyyear should be stopped and specific schedule should be released which must be reliable as well Internal exams every month , University yearly.

Likes

College with full greeny environment with more trees.
College with nice faculties to clear your doubts
College includes hostel and class in single campus.

Dislikes

College and hospital far away need separate vehicle.
College doesn't have separate canteen inside campus.
You need seperate transport to go hospital.

There are more outpatients you can observe in government hospital
They provide proper teaching for each subject
You can get peaceful environment inside campus.

Dislikes

Hospital and colleges are far away in distance.
You may feel discomfort in transport in your seperate vehicle.
There is no separate canteen inside the college.

For me To join the mbbs is the only dream since childhood. I want to become doctor to serve the nation.the curriculum prepare me to get hold of the practice rather than theory point of view.The course itself is perfect for me,it doesn't need any improvements

Academic block looks great in infrastructure..
And timing is very convient for students.
Envrionmently college..so much of trees and plants..

Dislikes

Hostel block need to improve and ground.
Travelling from academic to government hosipital..
And there is no time for lunch after relieved from posting from college

Dislikes

Canteen facilities are now developing which is much less compared to other colleges
Store facilities are much constructed and library is not available on Sundays
Hospital is like 10 km away from the college so the travel is like 30 mins up and down daily

Likes

The things that i liked in my college is the ground area every major sports you can play there
Lecture hall spaces are good you can sleep if you hot bored in the class
You will natural ambiences around the college because this college has a lot of trees

Dislikes

The academics side of this college is somewhat strict
You cant get cultural programs more often and to play intercollege sports meet
College and hospital are at 7km distance hence it is hard to travel daily from here to there from 2nd year

You can earn money so only i chosed this course This course tells me that you have to have proper time managemet to be stress free Lectures for 200 will be sleepy hence small group discussion are best option 1big sem per year you have to pass that to go to next year and have to pass atleast 3out of 8 internals which the college is conducting to appear for university exams

Admission to MBA course is done based on entrance exam and the candidate nees to have any medical UG course to be eligible.
