Coimbatore Medical College review

I liked biology in my school. So I basically had an interest towards medicine. The cbme curriculum is good and it prepares us to how to approach each cases efficiently. The time duration available for examination is less. So study holidays can be extended.

Our college provides one year compulsory rotatory internship after completing final year. The stipend will be around 25000 per month. The patient exposure is good. The workload is a bit more here due to increased patient load.

Total course fee :1lakh. I have availed MBC scholarship. I got 16k in first year, 11k in 2nd year and 20k in 3rd year. The scholarship for sc, st is 4k more than OBC category. For Government school students the entire college and hostel fee will be covered

Our college has cultural and sports meet every year and final year students are the conducting batch of the events. Sports and extracurricular activities are good. The library facilities are good. All books are available in library.

I applied for Stanley and Madras medical college and they are very prestigious institutes in Tamilnadu. But according to my rank i got selected in Coimbatore Medical College. The admission process here depends on the neet score and rank

The faculty to student ratio is 1:5. The faculty to student relationship is very good. I like my anatomy professor Dr.Jayakumar sir. He is very kind and friendly. There are around 8 internals in each subject. The exams will be moderate to difficult. Usually 5-10 students fail the main exam.

Since our college is located in main area the accessibility to gyms is good. Many cafes are near our college. The famous hangout places near our college are funmall, Brookefields mall, lulu mall, ukkadam lake etc.
