Ques. What is the difference between MD General Medicine and DM Critical Care Medicine?
Ans. MD (Doctor of Medicine) in General Medicine is a 3-year broad specialty program providing general medical training. DM (Doctorate of Medicine) in Critical Care Medicine is a 3-year super-specialty program requiring MD or DNB in General Medicine or Pediatrics as prerequisite. DM Critical Care Medicine provides specialized, in-depth training exclusively in critical care management, ICU operations, and emergency resuscitation, making it significantly more specialized than MD.
Ques. Is NEET-SS mandatory for DM Critical Care Medicine admission at SRMIST?
Ans. Yes, NEET-SS qualification is mandatory for admission to DM Critical Care Medicine at SRMIST. Candidates must appear for NEET-SS, qualify the examination, and obtain an appropriate rank to be eligible for counselling and seat allotment through the MCC process. There is no alternative pathway for admission to this program.

According to SRMIST's refund policy, if you withdraw after the MCC cut-off date or during mid-term, the entire remaining course fee for the remaining years must be remitted, and no refund of fees already paid will be provided. If you upgrade your seat or surrender it to MCC within specified timelines, only the registration fee (INR 10,000) will be deducted from your paid fees.
