I chose DNS(Diploma in nautical science) because this is the best I found because it gives you a training period for sure and it leads to your job further if you perform well in your further exams. There are many more benefits to it.

The girl cadets will get placement in 2nd year and for male cadets the placement starts at 3rd year and IMU HAS 80%placement ratio in past years.The students want to be in a good rank position for good placement.I am going to enjoy my sea life after getting placement in good company.

I chose this course to become a mariner. Faculty memebers can vary based on there nature but all are helpul to teach you if you request and ask kindly. Most of the faculty have written 4-5 books here so they must be qualified enough to teach. Term exams are every semister and are difficult but are not impossible to pass. Passing is easy but getting good marks is tough.

Placement does happen, nice companies are visiting every semester. For B.Sc. nautical science 100% placement, Whereas to be honest for B.Tech marine engineering 95% placement if not getting placed till 4th-year college will help us.

Placements are available for the cadets at any time of their training time. In my batch, almost 90% of students are placed at good companies at various times. Most probably all the students will get their Placement during their course time.
