Course Curriculum Overview:

One may take any courses in any department which is perhaps one of the best things about coursework. There are certain criterias need to be fulfilled for completion of coursework. Fee Structure And Facilities:

Since 2016, the central Govt. has increased the fees of all these IITs, IISERs, NITs etc. Hence the tuition fees of PhD program per semester are raised to 25000 per semester with additional hostel, mess and gymkhana charges which increase the cost to 75k per semester for PhD Program. But IIT has given tuition Fee WAVIER from 25000 to 2500 per semester for students who have qualified any of the National exams which reduces the cost of fees to 50000 thousand per semester for these students. also the students who qualify any of these National exams get a stipend of 31000/m for 1st 2 years and 35000/m for remaining 3 years of PhD program.

Two banks, namely, State Bank of India and Canara Bank have their branches inside the college. During the admission, they place their stalls near the main building for any assistance on the education load. These loans are readily available at a lucrative interest rate.

I cleared the GATE exam and I got fellowship from the institute as Teaching Assistant-ship. I had to do 8 h per week duty as a TA for 5 years (till i get fellowship). I also got loan for laptop from IIT Alumni centre. IIT alumni gets lot of fund from past alumni students which was utilized for loan facilities and other activities too.

Loan faculties were provided by IIT alumni through Canara bank. Scholarships were offered based on merit. I received an MHRD fellowship of 18k per month.

Is their any entrance exam for MSc in biotechnogy ? If no then Whats the cutoff for admission ?

Yes, the course requires an entrance examination. It conducts GATE for admission which will be followed by a personal interview or group discussion round. It will be followed by the CCMT counseling round.
