About IIT Bombay M.Sc
IIT Bombay offers a two year, full time M.Sc in seven branches with 308 seats in all, filled through the JAM exam and JOAPS counselling. The course is taught on the Powai campus over four semesters, with lab or project work in every branch. The institute stands #3 in NIRF Overall 2025 and #129 in the QS World University Rankings 2026. IIT Bombay M.Sc Eligibility
You need a Bachelor degree with 55% marks, or 50% if you are SC, ST or PwD. A JAM rank in the paper your branch takes is the second thing you need. Every branch reads the same marks rule, so only the closing rank tells them apart. Final year students may apply and show the degree later.
