Admission to the MTech program is highly competitive, primarily requiring strong GATE or CSIR-JRF exam results. Research Assistant (RA) candidates are selected based on GATE scores, followed by a test and interview. A candidate with an AIR of 401 in GATE successfully entered the RA program via these assessments. The Power Electronics course is notable for its placement success, ranking third after IISc and IITK.
