#101-150 out of 200 universities under “Overall University Category”

#151-200 out of 300 colleges under “Engineering Category”

VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) is a public university established in 1998 in Belgaum, Karnataka. VTU is one of India's largest technological universities. VTU has also been approved by AICTE & UGC. Visvesvaraya Technological University has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges. VTU has four regional centres spread across Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kalaburgai, and Mysuru. It was certified with Grade "B++" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). VTU is ranked 52^nd under the “Engineering” category, 95^th under the “Management” category and 92^nd in the “Overall” category by NIRF 2023.

VTU Admission 2024

VTU is a multidisciplinary institution that offers a wide range of engineering, technology, and management programs. Around 3 lakh engineering students attend the university's associated institutes, where they study under 37 UG programs, 96 PG programs, and Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) research programs taught by 7 faculty members. The UG program offers degrees such as B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), B.Plan, and B.Arch, and admission is based on scores in JEE Main, KCET, and NATA.

VTU Scholarships 2024

The VTU provides financial assistance to the students in the form of scholarships and fellowships so that they can continue their studies without facing any financial hurdles in their way. Some scholarships offered by the college are Pre-matric Scholarship schemes. VTU Youth Fest, also known as Intercollegiate Fest, is organized by the university. the course curriculam is good and my scheme is 2018 CBCS for this scheme is lucky because for this scheme the course fees only 17 to 18k only so that and the course content is so marvolos here we are going to study subjects like OS, DBMS, Unix, AI, Python, ML, Java C++ etc a lot cloud ,,,

no their is no such type of facility currently, our college does not directly provide internship oppertunities or facilitate collaboration with companies for students. However, recognizing the importance of interships inshaping our technical and professional skills, we take a proactive approach to seek opportunities independently

when i join into BE in the first year I paid 17k to 18k/year and I get full return through the scholarship from karnataka governament the scholarship name is SSP and I joined to governament hostel so entirely I was completed My BE.

Students view on campus life

so here there is no one is going to take care and guide u about the corporate life and this college is not linking with any corporate companies and friends are from villages and they also dont know about their feature, and how this differ from the bangalore colleges means they are going to call the big big CEO's of all companies in order to guide the students and finally they fill the gap between the IT sector with the college life

Hostel accommodation in the campus

so for private hostel u need to pay almost 50k per year, you can able to get free hostel in governament under like BCM, Minority, SCST and there is a huge governament facility here you can eassily you are able to get it

Coming to the computer science department, we have great HOD name is Gopal he is such a great person and he is so strong that his dedication to teach is a lot and he is like a uncomparable person with any one in my collegge. and we have Najiya mam and Umapathi sir both of them are too clese to us and helps a lot for our entire journey of 4 years

Admission Process of the college

actually i like the travelling so rather then joing to a college having with hostel there is no thrill and i cont go outside but in my college there is no hostel at all and we are staying eighter in private hostel or governament hostel so that is the thing here and i joined to govt. hostel with out any fees for that the Govt. Hostel names BCM, SCST, Minority hostel like that so that i can able to travel daily from the hostel to college of distace almost 6 km the hostels are there in city and college is outside the city.

Night Life

my college life was so good friends are made my life so beautifull and we are prepareing the food outside the hostels actually my hostel is located in the mound and there is no village near to us and we are searching for a honey bee to catch and eat honey and then their is a pumpset of lifting 40 metric tons so their we going for the swimming and comming to sports there is no support for the playing the games

When it came to choosing a college, I had multiple great options in hand,Iapply different Engineering collages aiming for civil engineering. eventually, I choose RNSIT, bangalore. this decision came after lot of comparssion Acadamically, culturally, and long term career wise. Civil in RNSIT is in smallaer size of 60, students and well equiped lab with advanced software in laboratories. strong faculty support, with course corruculaum is regulary updated. choosing this collage is realy worth not in terms of money , its my life changing point to make very good civil enginner. this collge is close to all local transportation, and campous is full of green. So this is the best college in banglore with my knowladge. highlly good. looking back i am satisfied with my choice, the faculties are helpfull, the college emphasized practical skill. and placement traing bring earlyeiar. if you are choosing in and arounfd bangalore, visit the campus, talk to seniors, Administration. my batch is the last batch of the VTU, all my junior batches are Autonomus batches. basic eligibility for most undergraguate program are same as how other colleges have, 12th standerd certificates, CET, COMK, entry exam with all the benifits for reservation and also in our campus out of state students are present. the admission process in my college is well organized, especially CET, COMK and management Quota and also sports quata available. getting college can feel like a big deal, espacially when there are so options and route. for students inside the campus all blocks are esily accecable without having any confussion thogh lots of bloks, one more thing in our camus is there are 3 temples are present inside the college, looking back agin regarding my choice and desisions, i am very satisfied becouse of internship offer and placements oportunities for civil engineering also in RNSIT. i am satisfy of RNSIT, Civil Engineeing.

One thing I like is the campus is full of greenery scenes. It has lots of different types of trees.

Secondly, they don't give so much holidays on the vacations after the semester send.

Admission:

I chose BMSIT mainly because of its good reputation for placements, approachable faculty, and better campus environment compared to some of the other options I had. I had also applied to colleges like RV, PES, and MSRIT, but couldn’t make it there because of the higher cutoffs. I did get admission offers from mid-tier colleges, but I preferred BMSIT as it struck a balance between academics, affordability, and placement opportunities. The admission process was smooth. For B.Tech/BE, BMSIT accepts students through KCET, COMEDK, and management quota. The most common route is KCET for Karnataka students and COMEDK for others. The cutoff for CSE here through KCET is usually around the 6k–8k rank range, while through COMEDK it’s a bit more flexible. I got admission through [mention your entry, e.g., COMEDK/KCET/PMSSS], and the counseling process was straightforward.

My friend graduated from Visvesvaraya Technological University with a gold medal. She ranked amongst the top ten students with the highest aggregate in CS.

It is calculated by the average of total marks of the last four semesters. A Gold medal becomes a dream if you fail in any of the subjects.

There are 2 types of Gold medals are of two types:

Merit Gold medal is given to those with the highest aggregate in their major/branch.
Endowment Gold medals are sponsored in different categories like for bright students of different categories and gender-based distribution.

Getting a gold medal is not impossible. Follow 2-3 additional books, study throughout the year and understand the core engineering and mathematical concepts. Internal assessments should be taken seriously as well. Be clear in your intentions and don't budge because there'll be distractions, but you can make your mark if you will it.

Should I apply for VTU revaluation?

One of my friends applied for revaluation in 7 semesters for more than 20 subjects. His scores also increased. The only thing to keep in mind is to apply for it if you are confident that your answers are not checked properly and deserve better marks.

Consider these points before applying:

Go ahead with it only if it feels extremely necessary.
Mainly review the questions you have answered and left, Check the answers again.
See the scoring pattern of your classmates selectively.
Check the University analysis on the subject in ‘fast VTU results’.
Your presentation of answers on that day.
Discuss it with your faculty.
Judge the gap in mindset between you and the 1st evaluator (If you are familiar with it).

Make a wise decision. Do not fall for rumors, apply only if you are confident about it.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is not considered the worst university but surely has many flaws. These include the following:

The syllabus is more than a decade old and the rate at which technology and science are growing, VTU is failing to catch up.
The evaluation process is very poor. There is a very high chance that your marks will increase every time you apply for revaluation.
VTU is one of the largest universities in India with 212 colleges affiliated with it. Most of the colleges have below-average laboratories, campus facilities, research centers, and poor placements.
Students graduating from these institutes score less marks and thus lose placement opportunities.
VTU’s standard of faculty is really low.

One of the things that bother aspirants is the reservation system. If you are an SC/ST belonging to the state of Karnataka then you have no problem in getting a good college with little effort through CET. If you are a general candidate then everything depends on your work.

I have done my B E from VTU and my aggregate is 52 I had many backlogs What is a way to calculate my VTU percentage if anyone had backlogs?

The aggregate marks do not carry much importance as they are the passing marks you scored in all semesters. Don't worry about backlogs that much. Calculate your marks after clearing them.

Now, degree percentage is different at every university, and VTU will calculate your score based on your performance from 5th-8th semesters and show that on your degree.

However, the good news is that outside VTU, you should state your overall percentage which is your actual percentage.

How can I change my branch in VTU?

In order to change your branch, you need to be a 3rd-semester student without any backlogs in the previous 2 semesters. If you satisfy these criteria then go through the following steps:

Consider talking to your faculty advisor (proctor) in your present department and highlight the reasons for your change of branch.
Take his/her permission and signature on your application addressed to your Head of Department (HoD).
If you do not have a faculty advisor (proctor) then, directly talk to your HOD highlighting your interest in the new branch you aspire to change and then take his/her permission and signature on your application.
If the HoD agrees, then he/she will forward your letter to the Principal.
Once you get it approved by the principal, you need to go to your college's administrative office.
Pay the VTU fees (INR 2500) and required semester college fees (depends on your college).

After this, you will have successfully completed the procedure.

How can I get a migration certificate from VTU? What are the details and signatures required on the form?

According to the information I got online, if your college is affiliated then you just have to fill the migration application form that is provided on the VTU website and then fill in all the details.

In the last line forwarded to VTU registrar ”...this is to certify…” you can either ask your new college academic person to fill it.

Or ask your college a bonafide certificate or study certificate and pin that with the application form alongwith the e-payment SBI fee receipt.

Get your degree certificate / provisional degree certificate attested from any gazetted officer by showing them the original copy.

Then post the whole document by speed post to the address mentioned on the website of VTU that is to the registrar.

After receiving your post they will transfer the migration certificate to your new college.

VTU had recently cancelled the year back system. Does it apply for CBCS students too?

VTU hasn’t canceled the year-back system. You will still get a year back if you get more than four backlogs in a year. But having backlogs previous to the previous year won’t result in a year-back. The rules are as follows.

Students who have less than four backlogs in the first two semesters are eligible for the second year.
Students who have less than four backlogs in the four semesters of the first year and second year are eligible to move to the third year.
Students who have the required credits for first year and don’t have more than four backlogs in four semesters of second and third year are eligible for fourth year.

So, you will still get a year-back, if you have more than four backlogs in an academic year.
