  • Minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale, or 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (55% or CGPA 6.0 for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
  • A valid GATE score in Metallurgical Engineering (MT) is mandatory for scholarship seats through CCMT; self-financed candidates may apply without GATE.
  • Sponsored candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in the sponsoring organisation and must submit a sponsorship-cum-clearance certificate in NITK's prescribed format.
