Which is the better option, NIT JSR metallurgy or IIEST Shibpur metallurgy?

Having friends studying in both the colleges, It is suggested that you go for NIT Jamshedpur metallurgy would prove to be a better option because the placement records of the college are pretty good. More than 78-80% of students get recruited every year from this college and get offers from the core and non-core companies. It has also had the locational advantage of being situated in the city of Tata’s and companies like Tata Steel, Tata Tinplate, Tata Motors, and Tata metals recruit. The laboratories and campus infrastructure of the college are extremely good. IIEST has pretty good campus and has really great faculty members as well. For placement core companies like IOSL, Vedanta, etc visits the college’s campus for recruitment. Many consultancies and finance firms also recruit students from the metallurgy department of this college. Yearly fees- Rs 2,16,000 Tution fees- 1,50,000 Hostel fees- 30,000 Mess fees- 36,000 Tuition fees for Sc/St 0 Tuition fees for whose hose family income is less than 1 lpa =0 And for whose family income is less than 5 lpa = Rs 66,667 Rest have to pay full. FFE, Medhavi Scholarship, E kalyan etc. scholarships are available for students. Also there is loan facility too.

One year total fees is approx.98000.i have not to pay any tution fee because I belong reserved catagory.my mess fee is approx 30000.i got scholarship from up govt in first year only which amount is something 1lakh

year wise fees include tution fees of both the semester which is 64000 each for non reserved category and mess + hostel fees 18000+ 15000 respectively for each sem. For reserves category you can opt for fee remission of 2/3 of the total tution fees for ews studens and there will be 0 tution fees for st sc category students. there are alot of scholarship programs offered by large companies and the institution as well for like tata, l&T ekalyan scholarship etc. moreover you can get a scholarship of rs 80000/ year if make a place into the top 3 of your batch in academics.

Tution Fees for Gen/OBC/EWS student is 62.5K per semester having Income>5 LPA. Tution Fees for Gen/OBC/EWS student is 41K per semester having Income Less than 5 Lpa but More than 1lpa. Tution Fees for SC/ST/PWD &(GEN/OBC/EWS having Income< 1lpa pa) students is 0 per semester. Mess & Hostel Fees include 33K per semester for all Students. Scholarships like NSP and Category wise Scholarship available also for Girls specially

The fee structure for general students is 125000 per semester . There are scholarships also being given on the basis of family income etc . One can also apply for scholarships . There are plenty of them . Various schemes are also given by the government .

Deep Inside NIT Jamshedpur

Academic is very strict. Have to maintain 75% attendance to seat in the exam.

Last year the tution fee was 63k and this year it becomes 74k so the increment is 11k per year. The completed cost of the education will be arround 8-8.5 lakhs. But if your family income lies between 1-5 lakhs per year then 2/3rd of your tution fee will be reduced and if the family income is less than 1 lakh per year the you will get full tution fee remission

Everything you should know before going to nit jamshedpur

The Fee structure is the same as any other NIT college. It is 62500 for tuition fees, 15000 for hostel fees, and 17000 for mess fees per semester which will cost almost 8 to 9 lakhs to study in the college overall. You can also get a scholarship which can provide you with financial assistance. If you can't manage this much then a study loan is the best option for you. A lot of students take loans. In the 3rd year, you can find an internship to get some cash.

So the fee per semester is Rs. 118000 but you can avail of the tuition fee remission if your family income is less than 5LPA. All the scholarships which are issued by the government can be availed here. If your family income is less than 1 LPA you can avail 100% tuition fee waiver.

Nit jamshedpur diaries .

The fee structure is feasible. However, the fee remission system is very poor. The college doesn't offer many things as the fee demands. Apart from that, we have many scholarships like medhavi ekalyan nsp and many more. The college placements are pretty good and it offers internships too.
