The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

Campus is so beautiful of nit Hamirpur I enjoy very much of campus life
I would like social interaction is much needed for and my college provide this type of invorment
Faculty are so good and very knowledgeable and helpful also

Dislikes

Here the problem of water time to time 😭
Here in mess the only some type of food gives no variation in food a lot
Here in one room three or four students sharing

The placement of nit Hamirpur are on average good almost maximum student are placed anywhere remain who has not placed is preparing civil services examinations and other top most exam conducting in India highest package are 1.73 lac per annum are offered one student in off campus

The wonderful college with the fine people

Likes

The campus view and the transport services provided
The medical facility is very good the ambulance came to pick us
The mess food is fine and the faculty are so good

Dislikes

The size of room is not fine and there is so much discomfort
Here is not more much package for other branches expect cse
There is shortage of water in One block which cause problem

The course for first year same for all the students which is fair and the mode of teaching of teacher are good but they have to focus on the field in which you are onward first year the difficulty level of exam is not much difficult but fine it is fair for all

Beautiful campus

Likes

Campus life is good .and also campus is very beautiful.
Cricket ground are also very large.and Badminton court is also available in campus.
There is 2 Gymare available in college which we can use any time .

Dislikes

There are many restrictions in college like you can't go any place without permission.
Wifi,Lan are not working properly at this time In my hostel.
Mess food is not very good .combination of food is not perfect.

Placement Experience:

In Electrical engineering course Highest package is about 18LPA.and lowest package of Electrical engineering is about 3LPA.and also average package is descent. You can apply for Off campus placement which is also available.

The overall campus size and location is actually Great
Seniors are very helpful and kind towards juniors
Overall faculty members are very inspiring and helpful

Likes

Campus beauty - The campus is quite big and beautiful to explore. You will find natural beauty and fresh air everywhere
Teaching faculty: The teaching faculty is very good actually. Especially the maths faculty, teachers are highly educated and focus on concepts and practical knowledge
Workshops - The seniors organize various workshops regarding their societies . You can learn coding and explore various domains for overall development.

Dislikes

Distance between hostel and main gate: The main gate is actually quite far from hostel , you have to take electric vehicles for convenience.
Conjusted rooms - the hostel rooms are four and three seaters .
Water issue - Drinking Water supply suffers alot

Placement Experience:

The placements are pretty decent in every branch. Talking about civil engineering teh average package is about 7 lakhs . The placements are both in tech and core . This year 70 % students were placed and a few went for research.

Beautiful college with bright future

Likes

The green campus surrounded by forests makes it the most beautiful campus
Campus is very big to explore and one can enjoy their campus life
Seniors are very friendly if you ask them for help

Dislikes

Old faculty in many departments which makes difficult to contact with them
Lack of wifi in many hostels. Although LAN works but it still have many issues

Campus placement are above average here. This year the average placement was around 9 lakhs. Average placement is increasing every year. As I'm in first year right now, so I don't know about how many companies and profiles offered to students

NIT Hamirpur review by a 1st year student ????

Likes

The location is very much beautiful and you can see many good views from many places in campus.
The faculty as well as seniors are very supportive to all students.
The student ratio is pretty good which is around 24-30 girls per 75 boys.

Dislikes

There are so many restrictions on 1st year students for first 2-3 months
There is a little scarcity of water maybe once a month.
There are too many projects and practicals in 1st semester

Placement Experience:

The institute offers incampus placements with an average placement of 8 lakhs per annum and the highest placement offered was of 1.2cr per annum as of I heard. I don't know much of placements coz I am also just a 1st year student.

NIT HAMIRPUR IN&OUT

The atmosphere over here is great, the greenery and the cool fresh air always makes you feel refreshing.
The faculties are very supportive as well as experienced, they try to solve the doubts of each and every student.
The societies here at NITH are very helpful for the overall personal development of students as they conduct various events, workshops and competitions throughout the year.

Dislikes

I have not yet experienced but have come to known that the students gradually get addicted to various sort of narcotics.
The college has a very high quota for home state students.
The girls to boys ratio is not very good, it's approximately 2:9.

Placement Experience:

NIT Hamirpur has an impressive placement record. For the year 2023, out of 952 eligible students, 690 were placed, achieving a placement rate of 72.65%. The highest salary package offered was a whopping INR 173 LPA, while the average salary stood at INR 7.54 LPA.

The campus is like heaven the compus is very good
The campus at top and views are really such good
Decent infrastructure and large campus and experienced faculty

Dislikes

There are many restrictions and not allowed the first year student to go out
You shouldn't go out with slippers and shots you should wear shoes
There is a water scarcity in this hilly area

Placement Experience:

The 8th semester students are eligible for campus placement 713 companies visited the campus, and 690 students were placed out of 952 eligible students. The highest package offered was INR 173 LPA, and the median package for BTech and MTech was INR 8.25 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA, The 72.65%studet placed in nit Hamirpur My plans after getting degree to place in a good company the offers a good position and income and make a life comfortable and independent

The campus is beyond beautiful.The weather here is perfect but a bit cold.
The faculty and staff here is neutral.They are not much chill not too strict
The girls to boys ratio here is pretty good.It is best in all of NITs

Dislikes

The hostel food here is below average and furniture is also below average
The anti ragging culture here is very strict.so you can't explore the campus much in first semester
The drugs culture here is this college's biggest con

Placement Experience:

I have information about my branch only.Last year the average package was 8.24 lakhs and highest package was 24 lakhs. The placement was greater than 95%. The placement in chemical engineering is pretty decent. Many core companies and tech companies come here for placements.
