Likes
- The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
- Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
- "hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.
Dislikes
- The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
- Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
- Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

Placement Experience:
Placements are okay, if u have good skills u can easily get placed. Core placenta are also okay companies like Aston Martin come here. And mostly students in civil go for government job or higher studies.Manybhave cracked gate this year as well .

- Network is excellent which is important for students
- Good infrastructure which helps to student for good experience in college life
- Sports management is important for student who like to be part in extra curriculum activity in
Dislikes
- Class timing there is no gap in classes .
- Exam schedule there is semester system. It feels exams on every two months
- Lab facilities are not too good for research purpose you have to put extra efforts
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is designed as per your course it is good enough so you also have time to participate in extra curriculum activities. Teaching methods are to good but some of them are not .sometime you have put extra efforts for getting high cgpa .as Ece department student some subjects are important

- I don't like this is far away from una railway station

Placement Experience:
From 4 th semester student is eligible for placement interview.companies like Amazon dwell and many telecom companies ,IT company visit and also core company offers is like maximum students got placed from college.Maximum placement is 2 crore from our college and percentage is 87-90 %.

- Ground is place i like most and my hostel room
- Library is very peaceful place to spend time
- Student park is place to chill in brake time during classes
Dislikes
- Hostel mess is place I don’t like because of the quality of food
- Admin block is place I don’t like because works get to delay
- Classrooms are not cleaned daily and power cuts occur frequently
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students can become eligible for placements
Mahindra Make mass placement of around 20 offers and oracle with 5 max with 5
Highest package with microsoft with 44 lpa
70% are getting placed
My plan is for higher studies

- Very beautiful view of frozen mountains i like most in winter season
- Cleanliness of roads and hostel which is regularly maintained
- there are many cafe and food plaza are operating in campus that i used to go between class breaks
Dislikes
- every day i suffer data scarcity due to inappropriate facility of internet
- Connectivity of college not very good . there is no railway Station near to college
Placement Experience:
from 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . There are many companies who visit our colleg to hier students in their company companies like oracle , honda , tvs , LNT . Student get average package of 8-10 lac per annum

- The natural environment around the campus is just magnificient.
- There are ample opportunities for the sports.
- The faculty of the institute is very skilled and experienced.
Dislikes
- The guest faculty are below average in regards to teaching.
- The infrastructure of hostel is very poor. Lifts are just for show.
- The quality of mess food is below average .
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum of NIT Hamirpur allows for some flexibility, in elective courses. The institute incorporates hands-on projects, real-life applications, and practical skill development tends to be well received. The exams are held on time.

- campus is one of the best among all other colleges.
- People are really good. Being Himachali myself i find them really generous and good to be around.
- air is really fresh and cold it feels very insightful to be covered with so much nature around you.
Dislikes
- there are not much good places to visit in the near city.. i mean how long can you just appreciate nature.
- the road to come here is not really good.
- 75% criteria is something with i dont like very much.
Placement Experience:
After 6th sem people start to sit for placements and give interviews.
lot of companies visited including big like amazon and flipkart . Place in my department was 88%.
highest package last time was around 1.2cr average was around 15 lakhs
i will get the degree in the year 2026

- The campus is very beautiful, lovely and peaceful.
- The gender ratio is very good relatively to other Nits
- Tourist destination are very close to the nit
Dislikes
- The administration is not that great .
- The faculty members are not that good and curriculum is very old too
- Sports and activities are not that much appreciated here
Placement Experience:
The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly . Even the cse students are struggling to get good placements here and also the arrival of companies has also been shortened.

- Affordable as compared to other engineering colleges
- Environment is good at least inside campus
- Peer group as people from all over India are here

- Washrooms of hostel are a nightmare, everyday has become a adventure I don't wish to take
- Management issues during some events, you'll have to wait for hours during registration
- Like most of the colleges some people are under the influence of drugs,

Placements are okay, if you want to go into core, you must have good cgpa, if you want to go into IT sector, you have to develop skills and participate in hackathon and then too you have to maintain a decent cg

- The place hamirpur is one of the safest place of Himachal Pradesh

- Connectivity is very poor ,no railway after una
- Partiality with the students of Himachal Pradesh

Course Curriculum Overview:
The mechanical department is very interesting department.there are very interesting subjects in it.By studing the curriculum seriously you can easily get good rank in gate and other competitive exams .File making should be stopped by the department.In our institute per semester 2 exams are conducted mid sem and end sem and both are good in difficulty manner
