Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak offers a wide range of UG, PG, Doctoral, Diploma, and Certificate programs across disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Science, Commerce, Arts, Pharmacy, and Allied Studies.
Admission Categories:
- Haryana State Quota: Seats are reserved for candidates who have completed their qualifying examination from recognized boards/universities in Haryana. Selection is primarily merit-based in the qualifying exam.
- All India Quota: Seats are available for candidates from other states, subject to eligibility criteria and seat availability. Admission may involve an entrance test for certain PG and professional courses.
- NRI/Foreign Quota: 10% supernumerary seats are available for NRI candidates and their wards.
Merit-Based Admissions:
- UG Programs like BA, B.Sc., and B.Com. are admitted based on marks in the qualifying exam.
- PG Programs such as MA, M.Sc., M.Com, B.Ed, and LLM are admitted based on merit in the qualifying exam or performance in the university entrance test followed by a personal interview.

MDU Rohtak Admission to UG programs is based on merit in the qualifying examination and Entrance exam conducted by the university. However, the University also accepts scores of National level entrance examinations such as JEE Main for B.Tech. MDU Rohtak PG Admission 2025
Admission to PG programs is based on merit in the qualifying examination and Entrance exam conducted by the university. The University also accepts scores of National level entrance examinations such as GATE for M.Tech programs. The eligibility and selection criteria for MDU Rohtak PG Admission are tabulated below:

MDU Rohtak Application Process 2025
To apply for MDU Rohtak Admission, follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit https://mduadmission.samarth.edu.in/
- Click on “New Registration”.
- Register by providing all the required details. Create a Password
- Now click the “Login” button.
- Login using your Registered email-id and password.
- Fill out the Application form by providing all the required details.
- Pay the application fee using a Credit/Debit card or Net banking option of any bank.
- Submit the Application form, take the printout, and keep it for future reference.
Application Fee
- Processing charges for the application form for admission are Rs.1000/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/DSC/BC/Differently Abled candidates (Haryana only). The SC/DSC/ST/BC/OBC candidates belonging to States other than Haryana will be treated as General Category candidates.
- A Candidate may apply for admission to as many programs as he/she wants. A separate application form for admission to each additional program shall be required to be filled after paying Rs. 200/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/DSC/BC/Differently Abled candidates for Haryana only) per additional program.

The reservation criteria for admission to MDU Rohtak programs are given below:

Ques. What are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the PG program at MDU Rohtak?
Ans. The minimum eligibility for PG programs at MDU Rohtak requires candidates to have completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized board or university. While applying for BBA , one of my to preference was Delhi unversity . i appeared for the cuet exam and scored 650 out of 800, which made me eligible for several DU college . however , due to a genuien mistake i missd the admission selection deadline because i forget to check the portal on time .
why i chose KIIT college :
1 . Convenient location : My college is close to my home , which saves time , travel expenses.
2 Affordable fee struture: cpmpared to other private college , kiit offered a much more affordable fee for the BBA program .

The other college was PDM university that I was checking out but it was not affordable and was not at all good in teaching. I applied for DU, IPU but due to short of percentage in class 12th i can't able to get admission in those Universit. And in the end i choose this as it is near my home and fees is also affordable. I rejected as I'm from general category and can't able to meet the percentage requirements still having 81.6 percentage. Admission procein my college is so easy just by filing up form and student got selected on merit basis and who didn't get name in merit list can visit college for open counseling.

I chose MDU Rohtak because its affordable fee structure decent faculty base and recognition as a government state university. The degree has good value for higher studies and public sector opportunities that campus environment facilites like library and labs and hostel availablity also influenced by choice
I had applied to a few other colleges as well , some private engineering colleges in Delhi NCR amity Galgotias i even got admission, but the fees were very high, 3-4 times more than MDU and placement was not significantly better to justify the cost

You need to have passed 10+2 with 45% or more to be eligible and then appear for JEE Mains followed by HSTES counselling to get admission.
No, that won’t be possible in this academic session as the registration process for the Bachelor of Law (LLB) is closed now for the 2022 – 2025 academic session. You can surely apply for the course in the next academic session.
You can apply to the UG courses through both merit and entrance examination. Engineering courses require entrance exams and some programs enroll students based on academic merit marks.
MDU Rohtak does not offer B.Sc. Biotechnology to the students. The university offers only B.Sc. + M.Sc. in General specialisation only. The total fee of the integrated course is INR 38,720.
