IIT Gandhinagar B.Tech Materials Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The placement opportunities for Computer Science and Electrical branch students are strong, with higher salary packages compared to other branches. Students can participate in placements from the 7th semester and internships starting in the 3rd year. The previous year's highest salary package was INR 65,00,000, and this year it rose to INR 76,00,000, awarded to about 6 students. The average salary package is INR 16,00,000, and about 95% of students are placed through campus recruitment.

However, internship options are limited, mainly available to Computer Science students through IT companies. Recruitment involves two exams and an interview. The tuition fee is INR 200,000 per year, amounting to INR 800,000 for the entire course. Additional expenses for hostel, mess, laundry, and sports facilities are INR 100,000 annually, making the total yearly fee INR 300,000.
