Pharmacognosy laboratory that lab is the best kab compared to other labs as it is a well maintained lab with clean floor proper ventilator light and the staff is the best
Campus it is a big campus surrounded with trees that are usefull in as medication n fir study purpose
There are 3 pet dogs in our campus that are too loving to us there names are brunoo ,muku,charlie

Dislikes

Classroom is okiesh because the fans doesn't work properly light are not good the projector remote is not available
The class walls in rainy season get so wet that the whole class is watery
No proper management with the old rooms that are just kept closed the whole clg need repairment the lift doesn't stop on 1st floor

I've opted for this course to get a lisence in pharmacy so that I work in a pharmacy as it is my dream ,the course is good it has job opportunities or I ll be able to putup my own pharmacy .feels good to be a pharmacist

Teaching methodology of the faculty is excellent, they help you learn and understand the topic better through presentations, group assignments and also field trips. In presentation they also teach you how to present a PowerPoint presentation.
The infrastructure is quite good and the classes are air conditioned.
The campus is quite big and canteen facilities are available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty use the 50/50 teaching method. They teach you the sub course and they will assign topics within the sub course for presentations to be done by the students. It really helps the students to understand the topic better.

Likes

Canteen should be more big and wide should be clean good food and affordable etc
Campus is pretty good and well maintained
Loved all the teachers and environment of the college

Dislikes

Small place of the college and washrooms
Canteen food should be affordable as everyone should buy
Some tr should be good and polite with the study mattee

Basic idea of Government College of Sanquelim

Likes

The teaching staff is really good and deals with every student patiently!
The college premises are neat and clean with decent classrooms
The college organises various competitions and courses for students

Dislikes

Improvement in sanitation facilities with cleaner floors
Needs improvement in college timings for arts students
The auditorium should have an Air conditioner

Im the first ranker of the Arts division and according to me this field was best since i want to pursue law ahead and this base will make it easier for me The college timings make it a bit difficult for students to concentrate since we have lectures till 4 pm

Likes

Canteen: has various options which ranged from breakfast to lunch. Also the service was on point and had different modes of payment.
Campus: it’s spacious! Ample space to walk and chill.
Smart boards: classrooms are equipped with the latest screens.

Dislikes

Parking lot: even though it’s big, it’s always crowded.
Office staff and facilities are not up to the mark
The 2nd floor sealing of the commerce block was leaking

Note: I was the old course student and recently the education system has changed and is called NEP which was introduced in 2023-24. I would say thr NEP system has several advantages as compared to the old course. First being the relevance.

Course curriculum is good , helps us to gain marks easily to pass through internal assessment tests making it clear to pass the subjects. One out of 4 Internal assessment tests are taken into consideration

Likes

There is a good load of patients so ample scope to gain clinical knowledge
We have really got awsome lecture hall as compared to other colleges
College is near the captial city of Panjim and hence is well connected

Dislikes

Fees are more as compared to other Government medical colleges
Strict attendance regulations, you should keep attendance above 75%
There are no vacations included in the calendar

Course Curriculum Overview:

Goa medical college follows the CBME guidlines prescribed by NMC. There are 2-3 hours of lectures every day and there are clinics rotation in the wards. 1st and 2nd year students have lot of journal work

One of the good university

Likes

The workshops, the conferences, the exhibitions and various guest lectures are always taken by our university
The infrastructure is really good with really good lab facilities
The placement is also nice in the campus and many students go for further studies

Dislikes

The mess facility of the hostel can be improved
The mess fees is high compared to other colleges in Goa and quality is not that good
The hostel rules are not same for boys and girls.

Placement Experience:

From fourth semester, the students become eligible for campus placement. The molbio diagnostics, the tulip diagnostic, maca beer company and many more companies offers campus placement. Almost 40% students get placed every year.

Insights of my college

Likes

The college was good in infrastructure, with proper security cameras, library, cafe, etc.
The teaching staff were also good and helpful.
Allowing applications for participation of sports.

Dislikes

Some staff were aggressive in teaching and sometimes in talking.
The 75% attendance system, despite of attending all tha classes , teachers used to mark absent for a small mischief.
The uniform during my time where boys were forced to wear bell bottom pants.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think they should include more of practical teachings than just going by books. A little bit of teaching in practice and giving more of live examples would have helped students to kick start their career way effectively.

The college experience

Likes

The teachers they were great at teaching and their lectures were fun
The public area were always clean and tidy could relax and study anywhere within the complex
The sports complex was really fun itvhas different indoor games

Dislikes

The que line in the office at times where there would less ppl in the office to help with stuff
The food there was limited as it does not have a big canteen or an actual canteen place with sitting area

I was quite interested in biology for a long time something about learning about life in detaol was fascinating to me so i chose this course at the end of my year as i find animal quite adorable and their physical componant quite complicated
