What Students Say

Likes

Canteen: has various options which ranged from breakfast to lunch. Also the service was on point and had different modes of payment.
Campus: it’s spacious! Ample space to walk and chill.
Smart boards: classrooms are equipped with the latest screens.

Dislikes

Parking lot: even though it’s big, it’s always crowded.
Office staff and facilities are not up to the mark
The 2nd floor sealing of the commerce block was leaking

Course Curriculum Overview

Note: I was the old course student and recently the education system has changed and is called NEP which was introduced in 2023-24. I would say thr NEP system has several advantages as compared to the old course. First being the relevance.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the general category for third year bcom in the year 2023-24 was rs 7395. However fees for Sc/ St/ Orphaned students ( fee waiver scheme ) was 4895 rs. Also rs 1500 was added as PTA fees. With the new NEP system

Campus Life

I would say my personal experience was quite good. It wasn't excellent because of few reasons mentioned in the previous slide. I enjoyed being in the student council, being part of events, talks and so on.

Admission

In Goa it is said that St. Xavier's is one of the top colleges in Goa and this is the reason i opted for this college. I personally didn't have any alternatives other than this. The sole reason being i was confident that i will get in this college.

Faculty

4.5

Most of the faculty members are exceptionally good people. One being Miss Carmelita who teaches the commerce students. Old course had 2 ISA's and 1 SEE per semester. One had to get 40% to clear per paper of per semester with an attendance rate of 75%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty and staff are very active, the exam schedule for all 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year are all the same timetable start 8:30 or 9:00 am and ending time depends on which paper is there, In final exams the college gives one day holiday after every paper for those people who study and for those who haven't studied.

Amazing Infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum :It's satisfactory. Best teaching methods. Best experienced teacher. When i was studying there i really liked the vice principal Mrs. Gauri Tamba 's teaching style. She used to be the perfect teacher for the subject financial accounting. The way she used to explain each and everything slowly and patiently really motivated me to study the subject much effectively .Really one of the best teaching facality there. Meanwhile talking about the exams: They're a lot of tough. Because everywhere you will have to answer a 12 marks question everywhere. Even though there is an option to choose for it's quite stressful.

Remarks:

College is a good choice for any student to get enrolled. Staff is excellent and fees are also reasonable. Only negative thing is the infrastructure of this college. College has a small infrastructure no proper parking no proper sports parking. Remaining that over all college is very good

The college management is helpful and will hear out all problems and try to iron out the issues faced by the students. But occasionally the management can take decision that don't go down well with students, such as issues related to parking, attire and discipline rules. Certain teachers tend to go overboard with discipline and tend to pull out students for the slightest of errors.
