Review of RCCA

Likes

I personally like the teachers and the way they teach
I also like my classmates and fellow batchmates

Dislikes

I dont like the fact that we aren't allow to sit in the canteen during college hours

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements during the final year, I'm not quite aware of the packages as I just finished my second year but i heard that the highest package given this year was 23000 per month.

Review about life in Goa college of pharmacy

Likes

Very good learning experience overall learning experience is very good new subjects
Very co operative teachers always ready to solve difficulty very understanding
Good library structure books are available good staff

Dislikes

Some of facilities like instruments doesn't work properly the efficiency
Infrastructure of some areas are not good
During summer it's very hot condition in college classes to concentrate on study

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is very good learning experience...the curriculum is good starting from basics like human anatomy and physiology for pharmacology.. organic chemistry for medicinal chemistry the core subjects are later focused from semester 4 Some of the subject I feel is not considerate to course and amount of stress increases

The College is very nice and all teachers are very nice,all teachers coordinator very well with students and interact easily with all students they are like friend of each students they give friendly environment to each students
They give family environment to all students I felt like it is our family and even all teachers try to solve personal problems of students and even help us if we are in need they are numbers they are super
The GCQ make students confident and smart and give strength to students to present themselves very nicely and present their opinions and make them smart presentation

Dislikes

The College time table it start from 9:30am to 4:00 pm this make students to reach home late and no time for studies

They are offering a course of our choice,they teach Well whatever mentioned in syllabus and if a student needs some courses or some extra curricular activities then they are ready to include also and make us easy to use it effectively and they teach Well

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. If average percentage is above 65% till 6th semester, we can possibly attempt all companies (no backlogs in any sem) including HSBC, Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys etc. IVP gave highest package of 8LPA and average package was around 4LPA.

PCCE was a good place to pursue Engineering!!

PCCE never has a dull moment as the crowd here is quite lively and we have events every month.

Dislikes

In terms of infrastructure the college is 0 as there are no playing facilities and it's just a 3 floor building.

Placement Experience:

Once we are into final year, we can sit for the interviews and mind you placements at PCCE are amazing as a considerable number of IT companies come here for hiring. Wipro, Polaris, Happiest Minds, Nazara Technologies to German company Bosch have been consistent with their hiring from PCCE.

Likes

Teachers are very supportive and encouraging students to participate in co curricular activities
Alumni network is great for anyone who seeks guidance in exploring doing masters abroad
Encourages students to Explore beyond the academics

Dislikes

Very old and small campus area.. in the name of college they just have a building
Library books are much outdated and very bad conditions
Often due to student politic college fest and other cultural events get canceled

Placement Experience:

After the final exams around 20 companies visited the campus for recruitment some of them were Kia, LIC, Imperial wealth services, Vianaar construction, Magsons, Selibi,wellness forever, paikane, etc. Average placement was about 2 lakhs p.a.

Likes

The campus is amezing there is lot of space
The canteen is amezing and there are also many food services nearby
The teacher are good at teaching they teach very well

Dislikes

The school bus are not proper there are only 3 working school bus's
Lab facility's are poor very old gadgets are used
The workshop contains lots of ald machine's and they are leaking oil

I would say that my course have more opportunities then the others in future, it is a well known course across the world and there are many countries provided good jobs to VLSI engineers so its satisfying

GEC GOA's best college

Likes

The best college in Goa with some of the best teachers
Environment is very good as well as the campus
Students here are very helpful as well the people who live around here

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old but they are trying to upgrade
Some teachers don't even know what they are teaching
The Gymkhana is old any not trying the renovate

My interest in information technology made my decision to choose this field Yeah about the curriculum it's not that so its too old fashioned so it's nod good Yeah teaching methods are improving but government should try to improve their curriculum so we can learn new things It's good but we don't get enough break it's like exam go more than one month

Getting Into College

Likes

The location of our campus is at hilly area which is in Ponda, Farmagudi. The view over here is excellent and talking about the campus its beautiful as it is surrounded by nature . The size of all the department is descent and very great place too.
The second thing i like is that is our library which is the second largest library in goa after goa University. So any one who needs latest books or wants to prepare for the exams and even for those who love reading stuffs .
The third thing i love is that is our annual college event known as TANDAV which is the most popular inter department event within our college. This event is famous in many colleges in Goa and people from different place come to watch or event.

Dislikes

The first thing i dislike is the syllabus, you are provided with the old regular portion . No latest technologies are thought. Its a like studying one day before exam and passing and no knowledge stuff that u need to survive in this era of ai
Second thing is practical knowledge. No one cares about your practicals here, you are just given the problem statement and u have start implementing it. We are never thought why is it important or how to improve it.
Guys if your taking addmission in GEC just forget about any vacation plan, as this college will ruine your plan. No semester break are there, if there are any than for 2 to 3 days.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many subjects which are really good to build your fundamentals as an engineer. bit there are many subjects which are just waste of time, even the students don't attend those lectures. But the core subjects like DSA , OS, OOPS, CN , OPERATING SYSTEMS are there in your curriculum and you are widely asked questions on these topics for the interview. This just for IT department

College Life in GEC

Likes

The college campus is really good. GEC has a different vibe all together.

Dislikes

Some basic facilities in hostels were not good. Also sometimes street lights did not use to work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is slightly outdated but its the basics that are needed to be covered so I would not complain much about it. Curriculum could be slightly more industry-focused as many students lack the practical knowledge of whats needed in the industry.
