College feedback

Doing Bcom has helped me develop my accounting skills and I have gained immense knowledge and confidence. But just doing Bcom won't get you a job ???? You will have to do additional courses like tally , advance excel , financial modeling etc to get a good job. My personal opinion is Bcom as a course haven't been developed in India yet . I feel that bcom does give you the exposure to accounting but it is just waste of time. I mean it should be course of only 1 year maximum which they have stretched to 3 years by useless and irrelevant subjects AMF topics. My advice is that do something additional course and internship along with Bcom

So the college issue letter of recommendation to the students for internships then students can fund suitable internships according to there preference and conveyance. Usually the internship are unpaid but it ultimately helps you build a strong CV for future.

After the final exams around 20 companies visited the campus for recruitment some of them were Kia, LIC, Imperial wealth services, Vianaar construction, Magsons, Selibi,wellness forever, paikane, etc. Average placement was about 2 lakhs p.a.

So the tuition fees is 2000 per year but after adding everything else for the FY , SY & TY the final fees is 10945, 10075, 7395 respectively. Also if you choose Computer application in FY and SY then you have to pay more 500 for each year. The college also give scholarships to students who are from financially week backgrounds mainly for Bcom there are two scholarships one is for OBC only under which you should have and income of less than 2.5 lakhs p.a and no backlogs in any paper, under this scholarships you get 80-100% of your college fees as refund. And the other scholarships is general for everyone under which you should have income of less than 5 lakhs and no backlogs in any papers and you get unto 50% of your college fees as refund.

The college fest usually happens in March and it's called Phoenix you guys can check on Instagram. So isn't any club system in the college. But there many co curricular activities like fun week, sports week, etc. And even many students participate in inter college competitions. The college library is well organized the books related to course are outdated. But other books like novels and journals are upto date and in great condition. All the classrooms have projectors and the classes is well connected with wifi. All the bba,bca, Ty bcom classes have AC.

Admissions are based on merit the Eligibility for admission to Semester I & II (in the first year) B.A./ B.Com / B.Sc./ B.A.(Hon.) / B.Com.(Hon.) / B.Sc.(Hon.) Programme: (A) To be eligible for admission to the Semester I of the Three Years Programme leading to t h e D e g r e e o f B a c h e l o r o f Arts/Commerce/Bachelor of Arts (Hon.)/Commerce (Hon.) the candidate should have passed: (i) The Higher Secondary School certificate (Std. Xll) examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in any stream, including Vocational stream in the subjects notified by the University from time to time. OR (ii) Std XII Arts/Science/Commerce or similar examination of another body, equivalent to Goa Board of Secondary and Higher secondar y Education, Goa, and recognized as such by Goa University.

Faculty have 8-10 years of experience in teaching. They all have their own way of teaching some teachers share their own life experiences to explain concepts like in income tax how HRA and other deductions have benefited. And some teachers use short videos and ppt and real world examples to explain concepts to students . All the Faculty are highly educated and trained. Faculty members always try to interact with students whenever needed. Even they give career guidance to students based on their experiences. Overall Faculty is great .. always ready to interact with students and help them with any problem.
