One of my friends is an alumnus of PEC Chandigarh. According to him, the Mechanical branch has good placement statistics. Here are a few highlights of the branch that may be helpful. You can easily secure an average package of 6-7 LPA. In recent years the highest CTC offered to students of this branch is around 15 LPA. Although companies offering software-based profiles even offer 22 LPA. Some of the major recruiters for the Mechanical branch are JP Morgan, Tata, ITC, Hero, Bajaj, ZS Associates, Maruti, etc. The placement average of the branch is almost 80% and only students with low CGPA remain unplaced. PEC doesn’t have a good research culture. If you are interested in good research exposure, go for an internship at any IIT. According to my friend the quality of teaching is average. Lastly, if you have options to go for better NITs such as Allahabad, Bhopal, Raipur, etc. go for it. Many reputed PSUs visit the campus placements of these NITs and offer Design profiles.

Sitting in a good company does not guarantee a good job, and mechanical engineering at PEC is far superior to that of many NITs and even IITs. Trusting his seniors and teachers, he switched to mechanical on the spot round to which he doesn't regret till now. If you're interested in electrical, go for it. Since my friend had no particular interest in any of these subjects, he preferred mechanical over electrical.

My lifes best 4 years

My tution fees for 1 semester is 89000 . It increases approximately 10% every year . Labs are there for had on experience. You can get scholarships on the basis of your performance in college by getting higher cgpa then others . Other scholarships are also available for those who can't afford the fee. Reservations are there for categories like sc , st , ews . According to fee it is a decent college to get admission in .

The fees per semester is 86000 and yes there is a lot of scholarship given on the basis of your merit as well as on your economical state. Alumni groups are also very active in order to give scholarships.

The fee for the semester is 85250 and the hostels are quite costly so you might prefer to stay outside in a PG but the food of some hostels is very good and of some is worse. Institute also provides scholarships for the ones who can't afford them and also for good scholars based on merit.

PEC - Average placements with good College Life.

Fees can be increased by 10% every year. Fees for 1 semester can be in the range of Rs.90,000 to Rs1,00,000. So the course fee can be around Rs7 lakh. Various scholarships are provided by the College administration. There are scholarships for toppers of the branch, ews, and sc/st quota students. I got a job as Business Analyst at EXL. I have done my Internship at HERO MotoCorp Ltd as an Operations Intern. I got this internship through college.

FEE STRUCTURE tuition fee -86000 per semester hostel fee - 70000 per year (10 months) mess fee - 3000 to 3500 per month personal expenses - dependent on student The tuition fee may increase by 10% every year SCHOLARSHIPS 50% scholarships and tuition fees are given to SC and ST candidates. A 100% scholarship on tuition fees is provided to the topper of the branch. Scholarships are also provided based on the income level that is below the poverty line, income below five lakhs et cetera. other govt scholarships are also given such as Top Class Education Scheme for SC students (Central Sector Scheme). Top Class Education Scheme for Students with Disabilities (Central Sector Scheme). Prime Minister’s Scholarship scheme for Central Armed Police forces and Assam Rifiles. Post Matric Scholarships for SC/ST students campus jobs are not available for BTech and MTech students but are available for PhD students.
