- The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
- The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
- Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .
Dislikes
- The over stress because of the exam pattern
- Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
- Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

Placement Experience:
Placements are not really good in our college, it is more of a research institute so it mainly focuses on PhD as PhD strength is good. Higher education is more prefered here but placement scenario is also good

- Campus is very good , filled many natural beauty
- Infrastructure is also good with neat and clean environment
- The weather here in Assam tezpur is also good compare to North India but in summer due to humidity too much sweat comes
Dislikes
- Very hectic schedule, we will not get proper time for other activities as there are classes from 9 am to 5:30 pm
- The placement and internship here is also bad
- There is language barrier too for the non Assamese students
Placement Experience:
placement is not good here for cse students you have to go for off campus placement , this year 2024 the highest package for cse was 12 lpa and maximum recruitment was from tcs which is mass hiring at low packages

The course curriculum is relatively good in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness as the course subjects are taught regular in the class and if required some extra classes to finish the syllabus in time

- The aspects of the college that we appreciate and those we felt needed improvement is basically no need for my purpose
- The facility expertise, teaching methods,and mentorship is good

- I like the campus the campus is very clean
- The hostels are really well maintained and food is decently good.
- Here mostly the teachers are PhD holders from iits and the placement scenario is decent
Dislikes
- The university has too many classes so the students cannot find interest in other activities
- Exams are hell almost every other month so we do not get any time to prepare
- The hostel food is decent but not up to the mark for the amount we pay
Placement Experience:
Here are the placement scenario is pretty decent. Computer Science and Electronics department has got some gud placement around average package of 6-8 lakhs and rest core branches has packages around 4-5 lakhs.

- The environment is quite satisfactory. One can have a better college lifestyle.
- The faculty is very active during working hours.
Placement Experience:
The ROI of this university is quite good. But the percentage of students getting placed is a bit low. As very few companies visit due to its location and as a result only 60 percent of the students get placed.

- Firstly I must say that the infrastructure of this university is very good
- Mess of tmh2. and mess commitee are so good.
- Playgrounds of all games are well maintained.
Dislikes
- The class hours are very long like I have my class from 9 am to 5:30pm
- There is swimming pool but they charges for it
- Some of the faculty members are good but some not
Placement Experience:
In case of placement our collage is not so good , in cse the highest is 44lpa which is off campus and 18-20lpa is on campus highest but placement in ece is improving day by day ,in this year there are 7 students who get into government job of 11.

The course curriculum is a bit hectic with classes from 9 am upto 5.30 and sometimes extra classes till 7-7.30.We have 4 exams within a semester comprising of 2 sessional exams and a midsem and endsem

- College environment is very good as the campus is surrounded by trees
- Infrastructure of the college is very good and the classrooms are well built
- Faculty of the college is very helpful and there are many facilities

- Hostel food is not so good at many times , it is mostly same for all the days
- Some people spit around in the campus , which makes it dirty and not hygienic for people
- Placement is average , sometimes its not even above 50 percent , so placement is quite average
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are average , if I'm talking about Cse department , it is around 50 percent and average placement is around 4lpa. So average placements as the company those visit are mostly looking for freshers who would take this amount of money only.
The Placements can be better if some big companies visit the campus , only that's the solution.

- Placement is average and academic is quite hectic
- Too many exams per semesters .There is no industrial exposer
- Average faculties and grading system is also not good
Placement Experience:
Students are allowed to sit at placement after 6th semester. For this year no. Of company visit are 4 for my department and students placed around 6 . Highest package this year is around 12 lacs. Out of 70 students only 40 are eligible to appeared in placement and from which only 6 are selected. To apply to study abroad.

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.
- Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
- Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
- Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Overall, the mechanical department at Tezpur University is not as good as IITs but it is much better than many private as well as newly built NITs in the country.
