What is the MITWPU CET like?

The MIT-WPU CET consists of 150 marks which includes Online Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks and/or Online Personal Interaction (PI) of 50 marks. All the entrance examination tests will be online, and applicants can appear the same from their home or convenient place comfortably. The test can be attempted through a laptop or mobile. The candidate should ensure that a good internet connectivity (minimum 1 MBPS) and an uninterrupted power supply is available during online examinations.

What is an honest review of MITWPU?

According to MITWPU alumni, It is the worst college there is. Alumni advise most candidates to not waste their time and money simply because they liked the advertisement of WPU. The 1 year fee of the college is exorbitantly high, which does not include the living expenses. Thats the fees of a 4-year course of most colleges in Maharashtra, and even in India. Also, there is no return on investment. There are very few placements and teaching quality is also not good. One would be wasting your parents hard earned money for nothing. All the promises made in the advertisements are fake.

What is the percentile required for MITWPU Admissions?

For MITWPU Pune BTech admissions, a minimum JEE percentile of 85% is typically required for scholarships. However, for specific scholarships like the Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship, a percentile of 97 and above is required. For the MIT-WPU Scholarship 1, a 96 percentile is required. For MIT-WPU Scholarship 2, a 95 percentile is recommended.

What is the scenario of CSE placements in MIT-WPU?

MIT-WPU Pune is one of the top colleges in India, providing 90% placements every year. Placements in Computer Science, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical branches are among the best. High-performing students in these branches receive very high packages, sometimes exceeding INR 10 LPA. Reputed companies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Syntel, Siemens, Accenture, IBM, HCL, Sasken, CSC, Hexaware, Birlasoft, Keane, iGate, i-flex, AIG Software, and many more visit the MIT-WPU Pune campus annually for candidate selection. The Mit Review

Likes

the infrastructure is very nice the buildings are well designed
the faculties are also all educated and are friendly
the boys girl ratio is also pretty good almost equal in class

Dislikes

the attendance policy you have to maintain 80 percent attendance
the hostel facilities the hostel for boys is 11 km away from the college
the nature of the staff working as cleaning staff they have unneccesary attitude

Placement Experience:

yes pplacements are offered many companies come and hire from this college the average package is around 7 lpa but it is incresaing every and placement percentage is around 80 and it is also increasing with time

Overview of MITWPU with campus insights

Likes

The campus is very big and beautiful and culturally friendly with temples and all
variety of people which increases communication among different types of people
security is very good there are watchmans all over the campus to keep check on the surroundings

Dislikes

less lifts for tall building which lead to climb up 5 to 6 floors
The facultyis normal not excellent which leads to loose interest in the subject

course and curriculum should be improved, it's fine but there is lot of scope for improvement, the curriculum mainly focuses on theory rather than any practical knowledge which leads to less educational growth,

see i like the atmosphere and environment inside the college and also teachers are so coperative to students if you have any doubts or want suggestion they are always ready to help
there are some restriction also like girls students are not allowed to wear crop top in the college and ragging are not allowed
everyone is so openminded here inculding students

Dislikes

i will not say i dislike anthing but ya the attendance criteria is very high there 85 percentage and the holidays are very minimum

Placement Experience:

from the 4th year companies are started visiting college like dell tcs vipro etc the highest pakage is 45 lpa and average is 9 lpa if you have more than7 cgpa you are ready for the interview approx 75 percent students are placed after getting the degree i will move to a london for mba

Glimpses of MIT

Likes

Campus Life is good, events are very common
Infrastructure is state of the art . The libraries, classrooms and the labs are so good
There are also other departments and also the gender ratio is also very good. You will easily get a beautiful girlfriend.

Dislikes

It's a residential area and neighbouring people are quite irritating.
The food prices in canteen are a bit high.
Curriculum could be improved and as its case in all the engineering colleges.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements you are eligible from 7th semester and internships too. There are a lot of companies visiting. Few of them are GOLDMAN SACHS, PHONEPE, COGNIZANT, PINNACLE, MASTERCARD etc. 80% students get placed from my course.

the campus is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!
there are so many study spots and a brand new library too, there are total 3 libraries if i have it right
there are many canteens and cafes in college as well as canteens inside buildings to have a quick snack or tea between classes

Dislikes

they are heavy on peace education which seems irrelevant at some point
several events are there which are assigned credits so that also feels useless
they dont give marks easily like people do in sppu colleges, students have to work really hard

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. companies and offers made not specified. highest package was 51 lakhs and average package is 7 lakhs. as seen on website the percentage placements was above 95%. after degree i will do job for 2 years then go study abroad

Placements are offered by our college. Average placement of MIT WPU is 7 - 7.5 LPA. Highest package of 2024 was 52 LPA. Accenture, Amazon, American Express, Apollo Tyres Ltd, HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL), HDB Financial Services Ltd., HDFC Asset Management Co Ltd, Hindustan Times, Hindustan Zinc, Hitachi Vantra, Holcim Group, HSBC Technology India, IBM, ICICI Bank Ltd, and many more companies visit here. Placements rate is about 80%. I will try for on-campus placement.

The course in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is 8/10 . For the first year , we're focussing on science and mechanics and will shift our focus to computer science around the second year . The curriculum prepares us well for real life working conditions . Exams occur every 2 months which is enough time to prepare for it

MIT WPU in a nutshell

Likes

the first sem timings atleast is pretty nice. We only come to school for like 4 hours
Practical classes are pretty fun. We get alot of hands on experience in classes like IIM
Connectivity is good i guess, its close to the metro station. The girls to boys rations for out class is about 1:3

Dislikes

The teaching staff isnt really the best. Some are nice whereas some are not
The timings from sem 2 are 8:30 to 3:30 which is not nice
Yoga is a compulsory subject for the first year

Placement Experience:

Placements at mit are decent i guess, students can avail for placements from the 7th sem. Around 300 companies appeared such as microsoft, amazon, infosys, acenture etc. The highest package was 44lpa with the median being around 6-7 lpa. I think around 80% of students got placements. Im planning on going abroad for my master in cse.

4 years of constant confusion

Likes

My college consists of a lot of clubs for every interest. Clubs include technical and non technical clubs with a variety of domains
My college has many sports teams and tournaments that they host from time to time

Dislikes

The management is a little ill managed when it comes to informing students about certain things like class trips , exam schedule etc.
The funds for the sports teams is very minimal compared to the fees we pay. We have to often make our own arrangements
Since I’ve been in the college , the sports section has been under construction , so all that development fee is going to be useful

Placement Experience:

Placements are good for my degree. Almost 80% of the people get placed through college itself and the average package is around 7-8 lakhs. Companies that visit are Accenture , Microsoft , Worqhat etc I want to work for a year before I apply for higher studies
