JUET Admission FAQs
Ques. Is JEE Main mandatory for B.Tech admission at JUET Guna?
Ans. No. JEE Main is not mandatory for all B.Tech seats at JUET. 50% of seats are filled via JEE Main All India Rank, but the other 50% are filled on 10+2 merit alone. There is also no minimum JEE percentile required for the JEE Main seats, making JUET accessible even with a low JEE score.
Ques. Can a non-GATE candidate apply for M.Tech at JUET?
Ans. Yes. Candidates without a GATE score can appear for the JUET Post Graduate Entrance Test (JUET-PGET) and apply for M.Tech on that basis. However, GATE-qualified candidates have an advantage as they may receive the AICTE-approved fellowship of INR 12,400 per month for the duration of the programme.
Ques. How urgent is the JUET Ph.D. application deadline?
Ans. Very urgent. The Ph.D. application deadline at JUET is June 27, 2026 and the entrance test and interview are both scheduled for July 4, 2026. If you are planning to apply, download the form from juet.ac.in immediately. GATE, UGC NET, SLET, or CSIR JRF/SRF holders are exempted from the written test but must attend the interview.
Ques. What is the GATE fellowship amount at JUET M.Tech?
Ans. GATE-qualified M.Tech students at JUET may receive a fellowship of INR 12,400 per month subject to AICTE norms and availability of the fellowship scheme. Confirm the fellowship status directly with the JUET admissions office before taking admission, as eligibility may have conditions.
Ques. Is hostel accommodation included in JUET fees?
Ans. No. Hostel charges at JUET are billed separately at INR 84,000 per semester (includes food and laundry). This is in addition to the published academic fees. Budget for approximately INR 1,68,000 per year for hostel and meals if you plan to stay on campus.
Ques. Can students from outside Madhya Pradesh apply to JUET?
Ans. Yes. JUET is a private university and is open to students from all states. There is no Madhya Pradesh domicile requirement. For Diploma admission, MP students may present their MP PPT score as an additional credential, but students from other states are also eligible based on Class 10 marks.
Ques. Does JUET accept IIT JAM for M.Sc admission?
Ans. Yes. A valid IIT JAM score (CY for Chemistry, MA for Mathematics, PH for Physics) strengthens the application and is preferred. IIT JAM 2026 results were declared on March 20, 2026. Candidates without JAM can also apply on B.Sc merit, and JUET may conduct its own selection for non-JAM candidates. The M.Sc application deadline is July 2026.
Ques. What is the initial deposit to confirm a B.Tech seat at JUET?
Ans. An initial deposit of INR 60,000 is required within the timeframe specified in your offer letter to confirm your B.Tech seat at JUET. This amount is adjusted against the first-semester fee. A separate refundable caution money of INR 20,000 is also collected but is not included in the published total fee of INR 9,93,000.
