I signed up for Rostrum Education which is an agency that helps student choose universities, applications, SOPs and overall assistance. They helped me find the best uni for my course and I am incredibly satisfied. I had great modules on my course, exactly what I was looking for. I had a great experience in my uni, with my teachers, friends, and flatmates. I immediately felt at home here. Overall people are very nice and helpful and it was a new experience for me so I was excited and prepared for it beforehand, I had done a lot of research before moving here. I’ve been on trips, I’ve explored my city, I have participated in various activities and workshops, I have gained a lot of skills, I have developed a really good CV, and I have earned money as well.

I chose this university because of multiple factors: - The QS ranking of the University of Sheffield was among the top 20 in Europe in 2021 and the ranking has gone up since. - It has the best student union all over the UK and it is still ranked as the best to this date. - Given the inflation rate and recession in the US, Europe is considered to be the next tech giant target in terms of IT infrastructure and software technical advancement in the employability domain as the big tech giants are building up their main headquarters in Ireland and the UK region. - The University of Sheffield's reputation in the overall European region is well placed and alumni of the university are working all over in big companies as well as small start-ups across the globe, hence alumni network is very strong at the University of Sheffield.

I chose this university as it was a Russell Group University and it was in the Top 100 across the globe. I searched for the city of Sheffield and found it really peaceful.
The University Of Sheffield is the only University in the UK that has Controls Engineering as an independent department. Sheffield engineering students are exposed to two projects which involve industry challenges and these are solved in multidisciplinary teams. This multidisciplinary team exposure helps build solutions based on perspectives from various engineering disciplines. The various student-led projects ranging from Underwater ROV, satellites to solar telescopes provide great hands-on skills as well, and transferable skills. Also, Sheffield has its own Engineering Leadership Academy inspired by MIT's leadership program to address the skills gap between engineering and industry and to create leaders who can have a positive impact on society.
It is part of the Russell Group and it has a very good reputation in chemistry, particularly, in polymer science and development. Also, they were very nice to send me to my home address post-cards inviting me to their open days.
