Cost of Living for Coventry University Students

Although Coventry is often considered a budget-friendly student city. After housing, food is usually the next biggest monthly cost, and many students manage it through part-time jobs or careful weekly budgeting.

For accommodation, Coventry University offers a range of housing options ranging between £4,290 and £11,000 (5.25 to 13.47 lakhs INR) per year, including halls of residence and private accommodations.

For an estimated breakdown of the costs, visit the Coventry University campus facilities and cost of living.

Overall, Coventry University falls in the mid-range cost category for Indian students, with most postgraduate programs costing £19,500, undergraduate fees £17,600–£20,800, and MBA costing £21,300. Combined with relatively affordable living expenses, the total annual budget reaches about ₹28 to 35 lakhs, though extra costs like placement years and field visits can increase it. The main financial challenge is the requirement to pay full first-year tuition upfront for CAS issuance, making liquidity more important than total cost. While scholarships up to £4,000 provide limited relief, students who plan finances early may still find Coventry a manageable and predictable UK study option.

  • I wasn't living in University accomodation because it's expensive. There are many options available outside the university campus.

  • Soon after you get admission change your mobile location to UK, then download apps like Xoopla and SpareRoom, which are the best to get a property or your friends/anyone ones whom you know if you can't afford it, but I strongly say that if you are into the main campus getting an accommodation is super easy and incase if you don't like to work/cook then stay in university accommodations where you have 8 different choices of accommodations where all are superb; the only difference will be in the size of the room and the amenities you are looking for

  • I found my private accommodation through a whatsapp group. Uni accommodations are expensive but well maintained and almost all of them are en suite, which means all of them are attached with toilets.
  • Monthly rent at a private accommodation will be around 200-400. and the facilities will be basic. In uni accommodations you pay around 450-800. The amenities you have over there are top-notch with your own toilets. My accommodation was about a 20 minutes walk from the uni. Most indian students do prefer private accommodations.

  • The accommodation I chose was recommended by a friend. It also had good reviews on call accommodation websites.
  • The monthly rent for my accommodation was 500 and the facilities included were Common room, games, a washing machine, a courtyard, a cinema room, a terrace, and a gym.
  • As I found the accommodation by referral, there were no challenges faced as such. I would recommend Trinity in Coventry, as it is the best accommodation and I would suggest making all bookings directly.
  • My accommodation was 15 minutes away from the university. Majority of the Indian Students prefer private student accommodations.

  • I opted for off-campus accommodation which was a 20 minutes tube ride away from my university. Unite students was the cheapest option.
  • The accommodation faculty was very considerate of student needs and provided for every issue faced as soon as they could. Events were held regularly which made us find more friends around and to have fun. the rooms were spacious.

  • Finding good accommodation remains one of the biggest challenges in studying abroad.
  • There are many websites like Spareroom.co.uk where you can find rooms to rent and Letting Agents in every corner of the city can help you get accommodation, things to keep in mind are one must get a room with a rolling contract and not a fixed contract as if you don't like the accommodation you can leave without breaking the contract.
  • Ideally one should opt for an individual (non-shared) bathroom and kitchen as a shared bathroom as a shared bathroom and kitchen is quite common.

The reason why I chose this University was that I was looking for various universities in UK and it was one of the good university among other universities for business management course and also had a good reputation and about the location, the university is situated right in the middle of the city so it's pretty easy to commute and there are plenty of career opportunities but it depends on how much you work hard for your goals and how well you perform in your studies apart from that it's all about picking up the small things from your surrounding and making it a learning curve.

Good for the field I have picked, not bad for computer science. The location is nice, not too crowded, but lively. Not many extracurriculars - but there is a sports centre. Teaching is okay, exams and assignments are relatively easy.
