  • 5 campuses: Edgbaston, Selly Oak, School of Dentistry, Stratford, and one in Dubai
  • Everything listed, including swimming pools, cafeterias, job search areas, well-being society, event area, Great Hall, museum, etc.
  • September Freshers’ Week is one of them. Easter, Christmas, Good Friday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Diwali, Eid, etc.
  • You could opt for basically any sport you want. For student orgs, you could check out the Guild of Students in the university, the university’s student union. There is a society for basically everything and they are quite active. Check out the ones you need and email their handlers; they’d let you in when you attend at least one event of theirs. We also boast a massive 3-storey library with books and desktops so you could stay in it all day or all night (It’s open 24/7).

  • Friend referral. My friend stayed at HamCam and he recommended the place.
  • The monthly rent was 396 GBP, including bills. The facilities provided were central and room heating, an oven, television, tv room within campus, a bar, turf, a church, a library, a washing machine area and instant damage replacements.
  • No challenges. We had confirmed this from the start.
  • Seek accommodation not too close to the university or city centre; that’s how you’d find it for cheap. The closer it is, the more expensive it gets.
  • 30 mins by bus but we had a free bus pass for the entire year so it didn’t matter. Most indians stayed in the city centre or university accommodation, which was highly cost-inefficient compared to the facilities we were provided.

  • I got student accommodation off campus through Amber Student. I paid in 9 installments of 1,015 per installment. I didn't face any challenges as such for my accommodations; however, for some accommodations, they require a UK Guarantor (a local guarantor for accommodation; if the payer forgets to pay the rent, the Guarantor will be contacted to make the payment on their behalf), which can be very tricky if the student doesn't have trusted local relatives or family members in the UK and also if you want to leave student accommodation for some reason, we need to pass on the accommodation contract to another person who is willing to take that remaining housing contract; however, it's not the case for rented apartments.
  • As for suggestions for students, student accommodation is a much better option if they take it nearby and helps to keep the person more socialized, as there are around 5 to 10 flatmates depending on the accomodation and also no need to pay extra for wifi, security and utilities.

  • It is a good university and the subject is advanced statistics-related, which is fundamental to ML. I had emailed the professors prior to the admission and they were very responsive. I had written my IELTS and received an 8/9. There are other requirements like Letter of recommendation, statement of purpose and resume. This led to the admission. The management is responsible, in my experience.

  • There is outside accommodation. I stayed with my relatives. Although I heard the university will help to find accommodation through student services. They will guide you through the procedure and payment. There are quite a few challenges if you stay in student accommodation, as it is expensive.
  • I did not pay any rent. If you have a friend, you do not need to find roommates. My place is far. I took a bus or someone dropped me off. It is best to find the outskirts since it is expensive nearby the university.

  • 3 campuses, 1st in Edgbaston, Birmingham city. With 700-800-acres campus, 2nd in dubai. And 3rd in singapore.
  • We have library, sports building, gym, museum, cafes, food court, gardens, etc.
  • Grad ball, vale fest, freshers week, and many events take place here. Every month there are some events that take place. All events are conducted by a guild of students mostly. Many clubs are also there like consulting club, hindu club, literary club, etc.
  • The main one is the guild of students, which is responsible for the events happening around. Vale fest is the biggest fest that happens here during summer, with all the university accommodations taking part. And many sports athletes also represent us in olympics.

  • I found my accommodation on the university website.
  • My monthly rent was around 450 gbp but this year it was raised to 580 gbp and wifi, electricity, water and heating were all included in it. The location is beautiful and is well connected.
  • Since it was a university accomodation i had no issues looking for the same, and there were people to help me get to my room when i arrived with all the welcome kit and gifts.
  • Look for cheaper accommodation in Selly Oak; it is nearest to the university and all supermarkets are nearby.
  • My accommodation is 1.3 miles from my college.

  • My university has a total of 2 campuses.
    • 1. Edgbaston Campus: It is the main campus of the university, located in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
    • 2. Selly Oak Campus: It is next to Edgbaston Campus in Selly Oak village, which is nearest to the market and shopping centres.
    • Fact: I live in Selly Oak.
  • There are many facilities available on campus. There’s a big library with separate rooms that can be booked for group studies and has a cafe and printing machines. There are playgrounds for various sports like tennis, basketball, and football. The University provides free sports sessions for students that can be booked via the app. There’s also a swimming pool on the campus itself. Medical facilities are provided at the Guild of Students for free.
  • The major festivals celebrated on campus are Christmas and Easter, where students are provided gifts. Other than that cultural events are organised by different student societies which make them feel at home and celebrate festivals away from home.

  • I opted for on-campus accommodation. Directly applied it through the University. Monthly rent is £870 and it includes an en-suite room with a shared kitchen.
  • I did not face any challenges while doing so because the university guarantees accommodation for freshers.
  • I would recommend choosing accommodation near the university to be productive and active.
  • My accommodation is a 5-minute walking distance from the campus. There is not any particular place where Indian students stay. Students are widely spread at different places.

  • There is one, the main one, in Edgbaston, Birmingham, and there is one in Dubai.
  • Every facility is available on the campus. There are many cafés and eating spots (based on your budget); there is a gym where you can spot olympic atheletes, you will even find a place to get bikes and your glasses (specs) fixed right on the campus!
  • The buildings are spacious and all have vending machines for quick snack breaks while you study! I am an introvert so I did not go to many events, but Christmas celebrations are huge on the campus – they even put various rides right in the middle!

  • My accommodation was on the campus, university-issued. It was the closest to the university. My rent was attached to my fees, so everything was paid on a 3-month basis through the payment plan that you can find on the website and portals of the university. I found my accommodation on the university website itself. I did not find any particular challenges.
  • I would recommend University issued accommodations, as when you are taken care of by the University, you don’t have to take care of fixing any water or electricity issues - everything is covered in the fees. The security is also better, I would say. But if you choose some other accommodation, the fees could be lower.

A separate 5-floor library on the university campus and indoor sports facilities and medical labs were also available. Music club, dance club , food court – everything is there on the university campus. Very well equipped.

  • My college offers a variety of extracurricular activities like technical fests, sports, and cultural events. We have a single campus that provides facilities like a library, sports areas, and medical services.
  • Major events include tech talks, hackathons, and sports competitions, alongside clubs for cybersecurity and other interests. I was head of my departments club, I had lot of fun organising board game nights.

  • I opted for off-campus accommodation (calthrope court), which I found through the university's help (they mentioned off campus accommodation associated with university).
  • The rent was £5304 (£99 per week) for the year, including utilities and internet. Finding accommodation was straightforward as I applied early.
  • It's conveniently located near the campus, just a few minutes' walk. I recommend future students book early to secure a good spot.
