Reason for choosing my college
I choose UOB because of its legacy and very strong academic background and a great research environment and the course really fits what i really anted to do. The facilities are top notch and the infrastructure was also the best.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
- My subjects were not aligned with the course structure. As I graduated from symbiosis course with was BBA and I wanted finance, they rejected me because of the subject of my graduation as their accounting and finance was more focused on accounting.

- As such, no additional documents are required other than the asked documents. Write a strong SOP; include what all you have done in past internships and certifications. Make sure you provide all the information authentically and correctly.
Admission Experience
- I choose the UK because of the reputation and the world-class education in terms of management and finance. The course i choose made me equipped with the best skills and focused on practical learning rather than theory.
- The environment inside the university was fabulous and provided a good exposure to being an international student. The university supported the students with a careers team who helped to land internships and jobs.
- Overall, the experience was worth it and the learning was great. I recommend students be a part of the culture and the opportunity we experience there.
Class Schedule
- Overall, classes in a week were like 4 to 5 classes. Classes depend on the courses; as part of the finance course, we had 5 classes a week. We had 3 written exams in 2 semesters.
- Majority of courses do not have written exams; they only focus on the project and assignments. We had many guest lectures offline and online, which was a great learning experience.
Faculty
- Student faculty ratio is 50:1, which i think is very good for the public university.
- All the faculty in the university were very experienced and very helpful. They were available for the students after the classes as well. They even helped in assignments for better scoring. Overall the faculty was amazing and thought you very well
Campus Life
- Every department had different buildings with well-equipped classrooms and labs. A separate 5-floor library on the university campus and indoor sports facilities and medical labs were also available. Music club, dance club , food court – everything is there on the university campus. Very well equipped.
Part Time Jobs
- Average wages per hour are around 11 pounds to 14 pounds per hr, depending on the job. It's not so easy and not so difficult depends on the student, how frequently they apply and what their approach to apply but most of the students get part-time jobs in cafes restaurants and warehouses. And learn to manage their expenses.
- The university provides guidance but they don't provide placement offers to any students. Students have to apply on their own and get a job; they help you to build your profile and CVs.
- Part-time jobs are available on campus as well as outside; for that, you need to apply more and more. You can work 20 hours a week.
Placement
- There are many opportunities after the course; again, it depends on the student and how well he is equipped with the skills. Opportunities in the UK are immense. To take advantage of students need to be updated and equipped with various skills required for the work.
Accommodation
I found my accommodation off campus there are many online platforms to book your accommodation. Moreover you can find brokers near the university who help you find good accommodation. The rent in Birmingham varies from 300 pounds to 600 pounds based on the location near to university. Great experience
