My Master's experience at Birmingham Uni

Way of teaching - Teaching with real time illustrations and case studies really helped to understand the concept in depth and can be remembered for long.
Helpful professors - Professors are so helpful in re explaining the concepts if needed and most importantly they are so kind to give their leisure time to know how we are doing and any help we need about concepts.
Campus facilities - BCU has everything a student need at a campus.

My accommodation was off-campus, and it was a twenty-minute walk to the university. I used to stay in a shared accommodation and used to pay around three hundred GBP per month.
I can recommend seeking the help of alumni, friends, or family members, primarily if they cannot contact trusted rental platforms near the university. To my knowledge, mostly Indian students stay at shared accommodations at a reasonable distance from universities.

My Birmingham Uni Experience

Uni had a nice library with books and laptop lending facility
Location is nice for a university most of the things are nearby train, bus station grocery shops and student accommodations
The major project is nice which allows you to research about a specific topic in where you're interested. This makes it easy and leads towards where you're aiming after this course.

Dislikes

Food was not upto the mark no variety also bit of bland food
Easy admission equals to weaker students my class didn't had any topper in their home country. A person with 5.5 bands and even without IELTS were present.
No help or very less help I can say for job search during and after course there is no placement for master students

I do not have any dislikes about my university to be honest but still I will try to answer some of the least liked things about my uni.
There is Indian dominance, although it is good to have it but sometimes it changes into politics which I didn't like
Everyone thinks BCU is the University of Birmingham which are two different universities.

I was lucky to find a landlord who helped me. My house was about 5 miles away from the university.

The main campus does not have anything for sports, career support is there but did not find it useful.

Average student accommodation rent in Birmingham should be around 600£ for ensuite or studio, but one can take rooms in independent houses in a bit cheaper price.

I chose UK because they provide a 1-year master's in budget universities, and I could get 2-year visa. The university experience has been good, the ranking was average, plus there are good opportunities in Birmingham for part-time and full-time as well. Also, I felt I could do so much more in the university if I weren't here for 1 year; there is so much to explore and get into.

I had opted for Student accommodation outside the university campus. It was all ensuite and good location. Since the majority were Indians, good to mingle with each other but less global interaction and exposure.

I chose this college as it is easy to get in, my educational agent helped me crack admission swiftly into the university. Centrally located in 2nd largest city of the UK. Overall a delightful foreign experience.

This will ultimately make me grab an opportunity to study and develop with diverse intellectual mindsets. I looked for other universities as well, but considering factors like the course modules, facilities, and the surroundings in which I want to develop, Birmingham City University is the best place for me.

The dedicated faculty provides valuable mentorship, and the vibrant campus life, enriched by diverse clubs and events, creates a dynamic learning environment. I'm currently in Jennens Court, managed by Unite Students, in Birmingham City Centre. The modern en-suite rooms are grouped into flats of three to six occupants, each with a shared lounge and kitchen area. The accommodation provides a dedicated social/study space, and there's a communal courtyard with tenant-only access. Security is ensured with 24-hour CCTV and reception hours. My en-suite room includes a three-quarter bed, Wi-Fi connected study area, and a private shower room. The shared fitted kitchen is well-equipped, and each flat is supplied with cleaning tools. For 51 weeks I have been charged £7,390.41. And for specific rental costs, it's advisable to inquire directly with the accommodation provider.

For all 3 years at University - my accommodation was amazing. It was close to my university, and had a lot of my friends living around me, and when I lived with my friends in a flat group, made my experience at the university more enjoyable.

It was the closest major city that I had not experienced enough. I had a lot of friends going to study in Birmingham as well as some friends who live in Birmingham. It was a last-minute decision, to be honest - between Nottingham Trent and Birmingham City.
