Middlesex University Acceptance Rate 2027
Middlesex University has an acceptance rate of 57% (estimated), sitting in the moderately selective band for London Post-92 institutions. The university does not publish an official acceptance rate, and this figure aggregates third-party admissions data across recent cycles.
Selectivity varies across programmes, with Nursing, Physiotherapy and Midwifery interviews narrowing intake to a smaller share of applicants. Business, computing and education tracks stay closer to the 60% band for well-prepared Indian applicants.
Reality check: Indian applicants with 60% aggregate at bachelor’s level and a IELTS 6.5 score sit comfortably above the recommended threshold for MSc admission at Middlesex, so file quality and SOP fit drive the decision more than the raw acceptance rate.

Middlesex University sits alongside London-based Post-92 institutions serving international students with career-focused masters, and the comparison below uses QS 2027 ranks, Collegedunia Study Abroad 2026 ranks and postgraduate international tuition.
| University | QS Rank 2027 | CD Study Abroad 2026 | Avg Annual PG Fee (GBP) | Fee (INR lakh) | Differentiator |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Middlesex University | #901-950 | #435 | GBP 15,800 to 19,200 | INR 18.45 to 22.42 lakh | Highest THE Impact Ranking among London Post-92s |
| University of Westminster | #781-790 | #562 | GBP 16,400 to 20,500 | INR 19.16 to 23.94 lakh | Media and communications strength in central London |

Middlesex University stands out among this peer set for its top-10 global ranking on the SDG10 Reduced Inequalities Impact measure and the breadth of 327 taught programmes under one campus operation. The Hendon campus consolidation, unlike scattered central London sites, gives Indian students a single-address address for CAS, GP registration and biometric residence permit collection.
Middlesex University London is best suited to Indian students who want a career-oriented one-year London masters at Post-92 tuition, with a total 15-month investment near INR 36 lakh justified by median London graduate salaries close to INR 32 lakh and the two-year Graduate Route work visa. It is not the right fit for applicants targeting Russell Group brand equity or a research-heavy PhD pipeline; students with those goals should consider Queen Mary University of London, which combines a lower fee band with a QS top-150 rank.
FAQs
Ques. Does Middlesex University offer part-time work rights during study?
Ans. Yes, Indian students on a UK Student visa at Middlesex University can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during official vacation periods. Roles must be paid at least the UK National Minimum Wage and cannot be self-employed contracts. Student Union job boards, MDXworks and central London hospitality outlets are the main sources of on-campus and off-campus part-time work.
Ques. Can Indian applicants waive IELTS at Middlesex University London?
Ans. Middlesex accepts a Medium of Instruction letter from your school or bachelor’s institution as an IELTS waiver, provided your last qualification was fully taught and assessed in English. Class 12 CBSE, ICSE and IB streams generally qualify, and English-medium Indian bachelor’s programmes are accepted case by case. Applicants should upload the MOI letter with initial documents to avoid duplicate requests.
Ques. What is the application fee at Middlesex University for Indian students?
Ans. Middlesex University does not charge an application fee for postgraduate or undergraduate applications from Indian students filed directly on the university portal. Third-party agent submissions are also fee-free. A deposit of GBP 2,000 to GBP 3,000 (INR 2.34 to 3.50 lakh) is payable after receiving an offer to secure the CAS letter, which is deducted from the first tuition invoice.
Ques. Which Indian banks fund education loans for Middlesex University London?
Ans. HDFC Credila, Avanse, Auxilo, InCred and ICICI Bank recognise Middlesex University London on their pre-approved international university lists for education loan disbursement. State Bank of India funds Middlesex students under its Global Ed Vantage collateral loan of up to INR 1.5 crore. Prodigy Finance and MPower Financing extend collateral-free loans for master’s applicants based on employability scoring.
Ques. Are interviews required for postgraduate admission at Middlesex University?
Ans. Most taught masters at Middlesex do not require an admissions interview for Indian applicants and rely on transcripts, English scores and the personal statement. MSc Nursing, MSc Occupational Therapy, MSc Physiotherapy and a subset of MA Education pathways run a competency-based interview over Microsoft Teams. MBA candidates may face an optional 20-minute admissions conversation to confirm work experience fit.
Ques. How does Middlesex University handle transcript verification for Indian applicants?
Ans. Middlesex University may request a WES or ECCTIS statement of comparability for Indian bachelor’s degrees issued by universities outside the university’s pre-mapped list. Standard Indian central and state universities are usually processed directly by the admissions team without a paid verification. Applicants should submit self-attested transcripts and the degree certificate first and only pay for WES if the university formally requests it.
Ques. What dependent visa rules apply to Middlesex University postgraduates?
Ans. UK Student visa rules updated in January 2024 restrict dependent visas to postgraduate research programmes (MPhil, PhD) and government-sponsored courses of more than six months. Middlesex University’s taught MSc, MA, MBA and LLM programmes therefore do not qualify sponsors to bring spouses or children on dependent visas. PhD applicants at Middlesex retain the right to sponsor dependents throughout the research programme.
Ques. Are conditional offers common at Middlesex University for Indian students?
Ans. Middlesex University issues conditional offers when applicants are awaiting IELTS results, final semester marksheets or the WES verification, and unconditional offers convert once evidence is uploaded. Most Indian applicants receive an initial decision within 3 to 4 weeks of submission. Meeting conditions at least 6 weeks before intake is essential to allow CAS issuance and Student visa processing at VFS Delhi or Mumbai centres.

- There is only one campus in London. There are many facilities, such as a sports center, library, medical center, and student council services on campus. The major festival I attended was MDXFest, which includes both technical and cultural events and activities. There are also different kinds of clubs, such as music, drama, technical, sports, arts, etc. There is a student union that organizes these events.

Facilities and Infrastructure 5. Only university providing a residential trip for this course (invaluable knowledge gained from this 7 days trip)
- My college was the only college providing knowledge about up to date inventions happening in the whole world related to my course through workshops and seminars. This was the only college providing a completely paid residential trip for a whole week where we lived with our classmates from different parts of the world for 7 whole days. The way the trip was designed was absolutely incredible. I would say that the knowledge and experience that I gained during this trip makes up around 50% of whatever I had gained from Middlesex University somehow. Also, the infrastructure of this university is the best. They maintain everything really well, be it classrooms, reception, communal areas, libraries, etc.
Dislikes
- There were not many things that I disliked about my University. One of the main things was that it was in Hendon. I did not like the area that much. However, the facilities and the infrastructure at the University made up for it. I do not have any other complaints.
Overview
My overall experience at this University was really great. I am very grateful for everything that I was able to learn here. The syllabus for all the subjects was completely up-to-date which made us ahead of everyone else. The teachers were always motivated to teach new things that are happening in the university. The University supports the students financially as well. Overall- Yes, I would absolutely recommend this University in the UK!
Campus Life
The campus life is absolutely perfect. Infrastructure is top-notch. Nothing to complain about. They maintain it really well. Perfect library with plenty of books. They even had a tech lab where students can use MACs as well. Free Wifi available throughout the campus. Too many extracurricular events including Pyjama night, teacher-student social events, dj night, cultural events as well, like bhangra night and Garba night.

- I easily got Data Science which is heavily in demand. I secured IELTS(UKVI)-6. 50 in first attempt though my English is not that good. Mdx has placement department which other universities doesn't have! "
- Campus(Since this was the first time in UK, everything was new and awesome experience).
- I am from Kanpur, London has a lavish and extravagant lifestyle and I used to stay most of the time with Indian 🇮🇳students.
Dislikes
- Nothing as such!
Overview
Fabulous and Excellent. It was a wonderful experience as UK universities are completely different from all Indian universities in terms of quality or standards of education. Many different countries students come especially from Europe and Dubai (nearby ) countries to UK! Different cultures combine in UK as compared to USA and Canada.
Campus Life
There are lots of clubs of Computer Science, Sports(Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Basketball) and every department(Music) etc,. Freshers party is also organized for new students. Food coupons are also available. Wi-fi is also available in your accommodation halls and as mobile data. Use Lyca mobile sim in your mobile rather than O2, Giffgaff etc. LIBRARY IS ALSO AVAILABLE. ONE CAN ISSUE BOOKS FOR A DAY MONTH OR A WEEK.

Dislikes
- While Middlesex University has several positive aspects, some of the dislikes that I have is that the campus location as it is in the outskirts of London and even there are less social scenes and accommodation is expensive with respective to location and facilities provided.
Overview
The university is supportive in having the resources, network and different areas of specialties available to aid individual learning and achievements. I feel very supported when faced with academical challenges. There are social activities, clubs and facilities to support physical, social and mental wellbeing as the university ensures the academic journey is successfully achieved.

Overview
I initially was confused between Criminology and Forensic Psychology, I found this university was the only one that taught a combination of both. So, it was the best option for me.
Fees
14,000 GBP is the program fee.
Overview
The university was well established with exact course that I wanted. Had all the facilities and I had good references. Secondly, it was in good area with good crowd. All necessary transportation like bust stop and tube station was very very nearby. Overall experience was amazing. The area of university had good accomodations too at affordable prices and food availability was a big plus point. Faculty was good and the approach was amazing from university part. Library is available to students for 24 hours and so is computer lab. We were allowed to carry out experiments in lab

Overview
I was offered a scholarship, which helped a lot to pay my fees. I also really liked the course curriculum and how practical the course was, compared to another uni, which focuses more on the theoretical part.
Fees
The fees were to be paid in two times, I didn't have any other charges for materials or anything, just for housing. The scholarship was discounted on the second half of the payment of my fees.
Overview
Middlesex was the only university which accepted me, which I was delighted. I was also ready or wanted to move out of the home town. I want to go to something different, busy, crowded and where there are more job opportunities.
Fees
I've applied England student finance so I didn't pay university anything. But it was still 9,000 per year.
