The faculty to student relationship is very good in our college.Teachers are very friendly and whenever you have any doubts related to the topics in our curriculum you didn't understand. You can just ask them ,they will surely try to explain it in simpler way.In our time we had 2 exams one sessional and another one final exam per semester but now there are 2 sessional and one final exam as per I remember
Students become eligible for placement in 5th semester.Various companies come for placement like HDFC bank and more. The package that was offered was around 2lpa in 2024.During our time placement drive was organised in 5th semester but the companies demanded immediate joining which was not possible for us to join since we were already left with one more semester to complete .

There are many functions like karvaa , coldplay events ,wpl cricket match we enjoyed the campus life , focus at exam time aquire knowledge with some fun with friends feast, debates , sports, own course wise celebration we had great experience to be in dy Patil
My experience with campus life here has been vibrant and full of energy. Every department brings its own flavor to the calendar, creating a well-rounded experience. We have the Annual Day and Annual Sports Day, which are regular features for us, alongside other events like ‘Caculo’s Got Talent’ (September) and ‘Fun Week’ (January). The departmental fests are also a big part of the culture: the BCA department hosts ‘IT Maestro’, the BBA department organizes ‘Synergy’, and the B.Com department hosts ‘Phoenix’. These events, along with the ‘IT Fun Fest’, really keep the excitement and community spirit alive throughout the year. The library is a central part of our daily routine; it’s well-stocked with a wide range of textbooks and competitive exam materials, and the open-access system makes it very easy to find what you need. It’s a quiet, productive space that I find great for study sessions. Regarding infrastructure, the classrooms are equipped with the necessary tools to support our learning, and the labs are functional for our technical coursework. Outside of academics, the sports department is active, often organizing competitive meets at the Peddem Sports Complex. Socially, life here is what you make of it—the student council and various cells like the NSS and Green Club provide plenty of opportunities to get involved. Whether it's organizing events or participating in social initiatives, there’s always something happening. For me, the best part has been the informal network I’ve built with my friends, which makes the college experience feel much more personal and supportive.
I opted for the BCA program because I wanted a solid foundation in software development and computing, and this course does a good job of covering the basics through the new NEP framework. The syllabus is structured, but honestly, it can feel a bit 'bookish' at times. This is why I think the real learning happens in how the faculty approaches it—they don't just lecture; they push us to reason and actually apply logic during the intense exam sessions, which are fair but challenging. If I could suggest one area for improvement, it’s that the formal university curriculum could be updated faster to match what’s trending in tech today. That said, the college does a great job of 'filling the gaps.' I’ve really valued the short-term courses they offer in things like AI/ML, Python, and Cybersecurity, which make the learning feel much more relevant. Plus, the MoU with the Goa Technology Association (GTA) is a huge advantage; it feels like the college is genuinely trying to move beyond textbooks and help us get comfortable with real-world industry requirements. Overall, the course gives you the degree, but the college's extra initiatives are what actually give you the confidence to apply for tech roles.

There are not enough faculty members. Often times, guest lecturers take classes, with less experience, hence sometimes downgrading the learning quality. But yes, some guest lecturers are very good too. Faculty to stident ratio is around 1:15, which is a guess. It can be way off. But yes, it can be way worse. This ratio is good enough ig. Some faculty members i liked are our Mathematics Professors, Engineering Graphics Professor, and many others. Can't name them all. They are very good at what they are doing. The exams are extremely easy, and questions are mistly either repeated, or taught in the class. It is too easy in fact; shouls be way harder. A few barely fail. Course curriculum should be improved though.
The total fee for my PGDM course is 9.5 Lakhs. This includes tuition fees and other academic charges such as registration, library, and development fees. The college also offers merit-based scholarships and financial assistance for eligible students based on academic performance and other criteria. Overall, the fee is justified considering the quality of education, practical learning opportunities, infrastructure, and placement support.
The faculty members at GIBS Business School are experienced, knowledgable, and very approachable, maintaining a good faculty to student ratio that allows for individual attetion and mentoring. I particularly liked Hari Prakash sir, Parameshwar sir and Dilipan sir for their practical teaching approach and guidance throughout the course.
Student faculty ratio is moderate. Teachers are very helpful. I like Dr. Nidhi from agriculture department. She is very knowledgeable, cooperative and helpful. Exams are modrate in level. If students will learn and revise they can pass easily.
I'm from general category and per semester fees is 89,000₹. But i got 50% scholarship on the basis of masters research, percentage and interview that was conducted during admission. Now i have to pay 45k per semester.
The overall PGDM course is significantly well-structured and includes a good balance of theortical concepts and practical learning. One of the several reasons I chose GIBS Business School was its industry-oriented curriculum, which emphazies case studies, live projects, internships and skills development alongside core management subjects.
Theie is atleast 2 faculty for 1 student, the faculty are well updated, professional and highly knowldegeable in their departments and have their own expertise. There are external exams at the end every trimester and they also take mid-term exams along with assignments between the trimesters.
