Course Curriculum Overview

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Faculty

The faculties are comparatively approachable but that doesn't mean the experience itself is comforting. for me atleast they seem conservative of their positions when confronted by an issue. some staff don't even acknowledge greetings out of arrogance. there are only semester exams from every six months. most of my classmates failed during 2nd and 4th semester. the course curriculum is outdated based on my experience in my internship. the instruments and the processes were far more complicated at my internship that I realized what I learnt at college was barely scrapping the surface of what is necessary to survive in the working field.

Course Curriculum Overview

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Faculty

Faculty at HIMS use Traditional methods like PowerPoint presentations in lecture halls. In each department there are 4-5 faculties to teach and each one handles 150 student in 1 hour duration of lecture. I can't comment on faculties I liked or disliked ,each one as there unique way of teaching. But in our favourite faculties lecture we people used to attentively listen to lecture,in some lectures we used nap ???? off . Internal Assessments : Usually, three internal exams are conducted every 3–4 months.we must secure a minimum of 50% in combined theory and practicals in your internals to be eligible to sit for the final university .I feel internals at HIMS are quite tough, often harder than the actual university exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was fantastic. It covered all the basic core concepts and also included other basic subjects that an engineering degree must have. The labs were all well equipped and professors always encourage to do something innovative and productive using the lab equipments.

Campus life at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) offers a balanced mix of rigorous discipline and vibrant extracurricular opportunities. The annual Cultural Fest is a major highlight, often featuring celebrity performances, music, and dance competitions.

Faculty

not so sure about the marking structure and other things but, as per i am a student of BAMMC the faculty to student ratio is 1:10, as we have class strength of 20 students, also for the examination the professor's are really helpful in making us understand and help us with our doubts before our exams start

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees that was there for me in the FY was 38k and currently in my SY is 45k, yes the fees does increase every year when you get promoted to the next year. I would say paying this fees is a 3.5/5 as there are not much student oriented events happening, untill n unless its the main college fest

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum back then was not up to date, per se. As the syllabus that the University at large was following in all of its colleges was from 2014, and even though most of the subjects were relevant, there were modern aspects in some subjects that would have been better taught if only the syllabus was updated. Irrespective of that, the college did a pretty good job in imparting the best knowledge possible, as the teachers themselves took the liberty to encourage students to follow the recent updates and also took the time to explain the latest developments for imparting the best possible knowledge.

Campus Life

My campus life was amazing. Having met extraordinary minds there really widened my scope of understanding both law and human behaviour. My teachers and fellow students were great and having exposure to multiple student societies and college events really helped me become a better person. The college had organised my events where the students got international exposure by having the opportunity to connect with speakers from across the globe through these conventions and symposiums. And, of course, we had the privilege of Senior Advocates and Judges who visited our campus now and then for many events.

Campus Life

The college has an yearly fest for 2 days, which includes artist for day and DJ night for other. Along with college fest, a number of other things are organised throughout the year which include alumini meet, sports day, club fests, diwali mela, science day. College has a library containing large number of books which can be issued using the e-library facility. Library also provides facility for issuing previous year question paper online. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and labs are equipped with smart boards. There are a large number of laboratories such as chemistry lab, Biomedical lab, computer lab, laboratory for sericulture, ciliate lab, zebrafish lab, physics lab, etc. In biomedical labs, there are a huge number of equipments like fume hood, laminar flow, autoclave, pipettes, test tubes and many more. A good amount of sports facilities are provided by college like sports room which contains table tennis, chess, carrom, etc. Apart from this college also has basketball court, cricket net, football field, volleyball court. Sports day is organised in college yearly which includes cricket tournaments, volleyball, basketball, table tennis matches among others. There are large number of college clubs and societies in college such as dance club, singing club, theatre club, eco club, etc. College society also contains national and international organisations such as ENACTUS and NSS. There are society for research purposes like Spie and society for building business like e-cell. These societies help student network, connect with peers, pursue their interest as well as build overall personality in students. These societies also help build skills such as leadership, communication, team management, etc., and help students showcase their talent both inside as well as outside college through competitions.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.

Course Curriculum Overview

DME is one of the best IPU colleges in terms of imparting education. The professors teach students through multiple study materials, and on the first day of every semester, the professors (subject-wise) draw a road map of the way the curriculum will proceed. One of the best things about the professors is that they prepare comprehensive and guided study materials in the form of PPTs, which are made available to students through Google Drive and also uploaded on the CollPoll Portal, making it easy for students to prepare for the exams. The college has a very good library and librarians, which has been my personal favorite spot in college. Each student has their own Library Card on which we can get three books every semester, and the college ensures that there is a sufficient number of books for students to access. The professors have been very helpful in informing us on the first day of the semester classes, which book will be helpful as a commentary for each subject. Beyond classroom facilities, the professors also take the pain of finding relevant articles, research papers, and preparing notes for us on heavy topics to make them easy for us. We also have our semester exams, which have helped us to skill ourselves in answer writing, making the process of giving Final semester exams easy and understandable to everyone.

Faculty

I have been blessed to have been taught by some of the best faculty members on the Campus. The College has so many faculties that are subject experts and mentor and guide students beyond classrooms. The professors have been highly approachable; they even give their students their free time to address the issues being faced by students (whether personal or academic-based). The professors use a holistic learning approach where they don't stick only to etxt book and conceptual learning but also make sure that students are provided with practical and skill-based learning. We get to discuss with our professors ongoing legal changes, gaps in procedural laws, and case discussions that go beyond textbook learning and help students to learn the art of argument framing and being legally aware, which are two of the most crucial things for a law student. The professors help in evaluating the writing skills of students, help in learning the art of writing research papers, and several faculty members have co-authored research papers and book chapters with students.

Course Curriculum Overview

If we would have only consider our courses then I think it wouldn't be as relevant and useful as per today's requirement but including all curriculums and trainings they provide beside the courses it combines to make moderately relevant . As for the teaching method it depends significantly on an individual some person might can feel it's perfect, some person can feels it's not getting to them. There is an exams called sessional exam which happens frequently in an individual semester according to the subject syllabus covered before the final examination. Difficulty level for sessional exams are moderate to easy

Faculty

I would say faculty is pretty decent in terms of there effort and there responsibilities. most of the teachers try to help with students doubt and enquiry . Faculty to student ratio is good like even if a teacher is absent or not available there is always a substitute teacher or any faculty member to look for in class . Generally implements on the all departments specially cse. They are trying to bring relevant skill workshops or awareness workshop for students for free which is helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

I felt the MCA course plan was good in terms of use and depth. The mix of coding, labs and project work was a key reason I chose this course. It helped me learn skills that fits real tasks like app build, DB work and logic design. The plan also gave a base for higher study if needed. The exams were held each term with internals, labs, and end-term tests. The level was fair and most students could clear them with steady study. Still, the course can grow with more hands-on tasks, new tools, and live case topics to make learning even stronger.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did my MCA from PES College Bengaluru during 2022-24. The fees for one year were around Rs. 2,40,000/- and the total fees for two years were around Rs. 4,80,000/- excluding hostel fees. This includes tution fees, lab fees, development fees, examination fees, and all other compulsory fees that had to be paid. The fees were more or less the same for all my batchmates, and it did not increase over the period of time. The college offered merit-cum scholarships to the students.

My overall experience with Chandigarh University is satisfactional as the university has provided all the facilities which they had promised . Healthy enviroment , Good infrastructure , job opportunities , exposure and events . In our University there are events held on atmost every month , recently our univeristy has organised the AI fest which in which new a lot of big techies were invited and new technologies were intoduced with the students , apart from the night show which include big artists who made the enviroment energetic with their music and performances . The campus boasts more than 300 labs across disciplines such as computer science , biotechnology , etc . Beyond classrooms and albs university also provides auditoriums , seminar halls , and conference venue for workshops , guest lectures,, TEDx events and exposure to industry insights . The Library offeres Book Bank facilities for the economically weaker students , along with that every student had a library card which they can use to borrow any book from the library . These resources are integrated with rfid teechnology . In Chandigarh University there are further sports availbilities for the students with in the university , frequent sports competitions and events take place on frequent bassis . There are multiple social groups and clubs are being made in the University by the students i myself was a part of orators club in the university where i had participated in multiple events ranging from the block level to the university level .

Faculty

As there are different type of people simillarly there are different types of faculty . The faculty to student ratio if Good . And some of the faculties are so much friendly and supporting that it is very easy to make a good student relationsip with them . Some of the faculty i would like to name is Miss. Sukhpreet mam , she used to have our communication skills lectures in my 1 st semester and i would say she was the best person one must get in their begining of the University . If I had to describe i would say there is a 80: 20 ratio where 80% of the facuties are nice and good with students . The other 20 consists of the faculties having age >=40 . The more the senior faculties they have a different attitude and try to be very dominant with students as they say they don't have any fear of the organization. If I had to name such a faculty i would name Ankita mam . Talking about my academics , I would say there are a lot of subjects in our curiccullum which has no relevance with our corse they are being introduced to nothing . Some of them we had to do from online pplatforms such as coursera . The level of Examination is moderate they not that hard and most of times the questions are asked from the syllabus only . The examinations consists of 2 MST , MST 1 of 20 marks and MST 2 of 20 Marks and a final Exam consisting of 80 marks . I would the level of checking the sheets is very lenient and maximum of the students pass the exams easily .

Faculty is indeed good, though few teachers are not very likable but their teaching methods and processes makes the study easy. The faculty for commerce is actually very kind in the college. The questions are practices and done through the exam centric pov which aligns with the 10 year study analysis

Campus Life

The college overall is small which infact helps on days when we are late to class. Being a science college it has good infrastructure and the society's are the highlight, which society like Enactus and fine arts and others have made the experience enjoyable

As ANDC is purely a science-based college, the focus is more intended on the academic aspects and less on the co-curricular aspects of the college. However, the Annual Cultural Fest of the college is good. There are multiple societies and clubs for students that provide a greater exposure to connect with the students of other departments in the college.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite balanced here. We have 2 main teachers and 2 subordinates who assist the teachers and the students at all times. All the staff are very approachable and helpful towards the students. The course is structured systematically by the university and our teachers follow the same guidelines.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for first sem is 171500 [153000(tution fees) +10500(development fee) + 8000(Tution exam fee)] and there is a total amount of 95000 to be paid at the time of admission which includes 20000(admission fees) + 10000(caution money) + 65000(IT and Digital Infrastructure) 2nd sem fees is 171500 with the same breakdown 3rd sem fees is 187000 [167000(tution fees) + 11500(development fee) + 8500 (tution exam fee)] 4th sem fees is 187000 with same breakdown 5th and 6th sem fees are same , 206500 [184500(tution fees)+ 13000 ( develpmont fees) + 9000(tution exam fees)] 7th and 8th sem fees are same , 226000[202500(tution fees) + 14000 (development fees) + 9500 (tution exam fees)] The total fees for 4 year Btech course is 1677000. Fees is increasing every year There is a scholarship for top 3 CG students , across all the BIT campuses

Faculty

Faculties are easy to approach , the ratio is around 50 students for 1 faculty member. I like Dr. Indra Kumar Dhadeech a lot , he is probably the only teacher in our college who has a passion for teaching. His teaching is understandable by everyone in my class. There are many faculties which i dont like , main reason is they dont know how to teach. They come read a ppt and just go away. Many teachers are clear to see that they do not want to teach at all There are 2 exams, Midsems and Endsems with 1 Quiz and 1 Quiz/Assignment, depending upon the teachers. Quiz and assignment are of 20 marks , midsems are of 25 and endsems are of 50. 5 marks are upto the teacher's internal assesment.
