Remarks

Yeah it is sort of good college for average people. But yes there are lot of scope for improvements be it in terms of Placements or Research oriented knowledge. Also, I believe VTU syllabus has to update as per market needs. We are still being taught old theroy subjects which are now nowhere used.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I studied Information and Science stream. The course is quite outdated when compared to all NITs and Autonomous colleges. However, the coding subjects were good and were upto industry standards. Coming to exams we had 8 semesters and could keep maximum 4 backlogs to proceed to odd semester.Every semester we had 8 subjects including 6 theories and 2 practicals.

Placement Experience

2

When I was about graduate we just had opportunities to attend for only tier 2 and tier 3 companies. At our point of time we they didn't provide any sort of internship. Stipend was just 1-8 to 2.8LPA. So yes package was not that good.

College Events

4.5

Every year we had one technical fest called as NCETERM Delta where in which we used to have technical events related to all respective branches and also we used to have one cultural event called as Mallika which consisted of both on stage and off stage events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For a government seat(from CET) we had to pay 42,590 every year and they used collect extra 5-10 thousands for Bus and other facilities. Apart from that we used to have 560 RS as examination fees which was raised to 1200 in the final year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes I got scholarship of 45000 RS every year as part being minority. Also we had other scholarships from Vidyasiri and Karnataka Government. Also, they used to waive of the 1 year fee for state level toppers. Coming to loan facility we got good guidance about the procedure.

Campus Life

5

Yes they were good. Every semester we used to have sports like cricket, football, volley ball and and Olympic games like 100mts,200mts and 400mts relay. Apart from that we used to have Placement training now and then. Also we had forum called as Exotic every Thursday for our overall development.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpfull. They guided us in most of events may it be cultural or academic. Also we had forum called as Exotic every Thursday for our overall development. Everyone was enthusiastic and inspiring. We got good suggestions for our project and seminar.

Admission

I got into college through Common Entrance Test conducted by Karnataka Government. After my 12th I had to write CET and after the announcement of CET ranking I was allocated to this college. I got the government seat.

Faculty

4

The faculty is genuinely good and they provide all sort of help and motivation to students. They regularly used to guide us and yeah at times used to scold us whenever we were on wrong track. For practicals I believe there was lot of scope to improve.

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.

In UVCE placement rate is almost good but we need more effort on self study . Most of the students works in internship in 7 or 8 th sem it means before graduation then they will got good placements. Some of you directly god good placements without working in internship.. Because putting there efforts..
