Remarks

Teaching and faculty quality wise its a good college. But when it comes to infrastructure, its not that great. Even college is treating pg students as school children. Boys and girls are not allowed to sit together in classes. Even placement is not that great.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBA at AIMS College follows the syllabus of Bangalore University. The college comes under Bangalore university. Course curriculum are little bit out dated. Last modification was done in 2014-15. And exams are conducted very late by the university.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement opportunities are quite good. I will not say bad. And also its not that great. There is no placement guarantee or 100% placement. One can expect an average pay package of 4LPA. Even they provide internship opportunities by calling companies to campus. Stipund goes up to 15k per month.

College Events

2.5

Most of the major festives are celebrated in the college despite of religion. Festives like Onam, Christmas, Kannada Rajyotsava, Independence day etc are celebrated grand. And also College day, Freshers day and Ethnic day, Graduation and Convocation day are also celebrated in a nice way.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When it comes to MBA through PGCET quota or merit quota I will say its not expensive. It will cost around 2.4L for 2 year programme. But management seats are very costly. They charge 10L for those seats. Just a 4 days Malaysia tour is extra for them along with Apple tablet.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are several scholarship programs one can look for. For example scholarship from Backward Community Welfare which provides upto 30k scholarship per year and irrespective of cast anyone can apply for this if their Annual income is less than 1 lakh rupees.

Campus Life

1

Extra curricular activities are not that great. Labs are good for MCA students. There is a well established computer lab with Apple desktops. But play ground is very small. So, one can not expect much from this college when it comes to sports. Despite of this, college arranges sports day every year.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes.all alumnis are well connected. There is a seperate platform for Alumni registration. Each and every student must register themselves before leaving college. This helps in keeping contact with your batch mates and lecturers. And also alumni meet is arranged every year.

Admission

I wrote an entrane for MBA called PGCET exam which is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. This exam is only meant for Karnataka residing students and based on that score I got MBA seat in this college.

Faculty

4

The faculties in this college are good when compared to other colleges. They are having relevant industrail experience and teaching experience as well. Most of the lecturers have done their phd. They are more student friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. More individual attention and skill development can help students understand topics and mould into good clinicians.
