Remarks

There are various comments that could be made about the college about there positive and negative things as positives include good academic focus, better placements, nice infrastructure whereas negative things may include not much of the focus on the extracurricular activities, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is designed by the aktu university which is what we get taught in the university and exams are help semester wise like two semesters in a year conducted by AKTU and 2 sessional exams a year as well.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell of the college is excellent as well as most of the students get places to a good post and they often opt for the placements from the college itself rather than seeking it from someplace else.

College Events

1.5

Various events are organised in our college by various departments and as well from the faculty and other teams as well as they plan to the core development of the student and also make them enjoy and participate as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not much expensive and can be termed as feasible as when compared to the other colleges we provide better placements, academics, events than the other colleges that charge a lot more than my college do.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships available for the students according to the merit list generated every year based on their academic performance marks and other participation’s which help them to indulge in activities and grow better.

Campus Life

3

The extracurricular activities include many things like sports, personality development classes and note which focus on overall development of the student and not just the academic development which is actually important.

Alumni/Alumna

We sometimes take the help of seniors when in need as they help us provide what’s necessary and what’s not, we often discuss about the attendance and the marks distribution criteria which help us know what’s good and what’s not.

Admission

Through AKTU admission which is held in April and may change the schedule as per the exam schedule and after the result is declared you’re to get the admission through counselling process which is necessary.

Faculty

4

The faculty department of the institute is pretty good as most of the teachers or almost all have a fluent command over the subject and are highly qualified as well as most come from the prestigious colleges of the country.

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Placement Experience:

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
