Remarks

Positive: The campus is very huge with lot’s of trees and forest. Negative: So many political protests by political parties causes classes to stop. Infrastructure needs to updated, NAAC Grade is B.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is Bsc Computer Science, a 3 year 6 semester course. Talking about the course it is not updated very often. Some topics of the syllabus are a bit outdated. Semester Exams are conducted by Kerala University, we need to register and pay fees to Kerala University for every exam.

Placement Experience

2

I don’t know about internships in my college, talking about placement and job opportunities, my course lack direct placement opportunities. Mostly a post graduation course is required for placement. But my college doesn’t offer any post graduation courses for my course.

College Events

2.5

My college does not have that much of programs and events. Since my college is not that famous, we can’t get any sponsorship for events. Most events are conducted by collecting small funds from students itself. Some events like arts day and sports day gets from government.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible since it is a government college. Students with reservations get reimbursement of semester fees and exam fees from government. My course have around 2000 rupees for semester fees. Everything from transportation to food is subsidised.

Fees and Financial Aid

Several scholarships are given by the government, But I am not eligible for that since my family income is above their limit. Nothing else to say.

Campus Life

3

We have several external activities in our college, several inter department competitions are conducted by the college union. The Sports activities include inter department cricket, football, volleyball, athletics competitions. Each department conducted several workshops of their own. This year our department conducted a Python Workshop , Malayalam computing workshop.

Admission

Admission is handled by Kerala University. The merit list is prepared by analysing 12th grade mark. Students can give a priority list of courses and colleges they like, different allotments are done by the college administrators as per the merit list.

Faculty

4

The faculty in my college is very good since it is a Government College. Almost all permanent faculty in my college have doctorate in their respective fields. But facilities are a bit lacking, the computers are outdated and internet facilities are also lacking. Some faculty are not taking advantage of using modern teaching facilities.

Reviewed on Nov 18, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
